Listed on the Galaxy Point Page is "Spin the Galaxy Wheel". When I need more research, it says spin the wheel. When I need more energy, I think it tells me to spin the wheel.

I would be much more interested in using this option if there was an explanation of the wheel. I'm assuming it is like the Wheel of Fortune, you spin it and get what is on the slot. What is on the slots? Do they change with level? It is a good use of my GP? I have no idea.

Dan, can you take a little time and maybe show us what we can get, explain if all the choices have equal chance, etc. There is nothing even in the wiki.

i spun the wheel when i first started with my gp. i thought i might have gotten an extra unique module, but sadly the only thing i think you can get is credits. complete waste of my gp.

I'll explain it, I've used it many times.

There are ten slots. 8 hold a credit reward of varying amount, I believe a multiple of what you get from the daily reward. Here is a list of the multiples.
1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 7x, 10x, 20x, 50x

The bottom slot holds 20 GP, twice what you paid to use it.

The top slot holds a full ranks worth of rank points.

It basically spins an energy ball around the inside of the wheel at a random speed and gives you whatever it lands on. I just got a ranks worth of GP. I would capture a screenshot if I wasn't about to run out of bandwidth on photobucket.

Ah. Lots of credits might be nice a couple times, but doesn't excite me that much. For the same price an energy refill will give you a rank, and the double down is just gambling. Maybe if it had special modules in 2-3 of the slots only from that source, high GP spenders might be interested in the boost. Or perhaps 20 crew boost etc. Or 3 cubes, you get the idea. It has to have a 30-50 percent chance of being better than getting a rank, or 1 daily reward (and not just of credits). There's a lot of balancing with it tho.

Really? I am 357 and it takes half to 3/4 of a refill to level up.

You probably spent more into energy than most people. I'm rank 194 and it takes about 2.5 charges to rank up using the "Fate of Komarra" mission.

I've been curious how the "x" relates to the daily reward; is the daily reward 1x or 10x relative to this spin ? Or is there some other relationship ? I'm at the point where if it's rank based and it's multiples of the daily reward I could really use it. What is the most you have gotten out of it , any limitations ?

in your case, 201.6 Million credits...
what's your rank?

at 412, 10x gave me 849 M credits, thus x = 84.9 M credits

what?

before credits got changed I would get 900M-1.2B from the credit reward
and that was rank 390ish

are you referring to the galaxy wheel? or the daily reward?
if you're referring to the galaxy wheel, please post the exact multiplier it landed on, and the exact amount you got
if you're referring to the daily reward, check the title of this thread

I've never used the wheel, what I was referring back to was the,
Quote:

1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 7x, 10x, 20x, 50x
quote, which was never revoked, so I took it to mean you got 10x what your daily reward would be, and that was the 849M credits

Thank you cap'n obvious. I know 1x = 201.6M. I don't know where this X comes from. It doesn't appear to be 1 hour of minerals.

I was rank 635 at the time.
