Just curious - anyone recall the absolute maximum scanning value in the game? I know it can be worked out, I'm just hoping someone already knows it.

i think it's changed a bit recently... if someone wants to recalculate, i'm interested in the maximum permanant scanning value (don't count any artis that are limited availability like mission rewards)

I know its over 14K , that was the last time someone did the math.

Hm... so my 15k cloaked planet is still potentially vulnerable. I'll have to correct that.

keep in mind that the planet locating chance and the scan lock chance are separate random numbers...

first there's a 1 in 1,405,300 chance they locate your planet specifically...
then if you have 15000 cloak, someone with 15294 scan has only a 2% chance of getting past your cloak

they should've spent their good luck on the lottery if they manage to get a planet that has 15000 cloak

by the way... how in the world did you cram 15K cloak into one planet?

About 7k - remember the legion bonus.

It's pretty easy to get 7k of cloak on a planet if you don't care about resources on the planet.

yeah forgot the legion bonus.. my brain is a lil broken this early in the morning
though you're right.... stuffing a planet even with that much cloak makes it worthless

Not if you are using the planet as a dump for your resource storage artifacts.
