I just got hacked once by someone 3 ranks below me (I'm Rank 76). I don't have enough cloak to hack back, so I used a Positron Clouder artifact which is supposed to prevent cloaking. I then go to try and hack, but the meny says my cloak isn't high enough to hack him, even though the positron clouder effect states that 99.9% cloaking is removed. I have 100 cloak.

So for him to override my cloak with the positron clouder artifact, he'd need 100,001 cloak to do so (100 / 0.1%) + 1. So he is either hacking his cloak, or the positron clouder artifact is broken.

His scanning is still high enough to block your hack altogether.

Scanning also counts as hack defense, he must have alot of that.

Hmm, there should be an artifact that reduces scan by 99.9% like the Positron Clouder artifact, or have the Positron Clouder artifact reduce not just cloak but scanning too, as an "anti-hacker revenge artifact".

theres one that reduces scanning by 50%, thats as good as its gonna get

BTW, dark pyramids work even if you are "quantum firewalled" now.
