Hello.. I saw that my class spy had cloak increased by 30% that wasn't mentioned in the update.. My friend also told me that he saw Konqul received 30% to weapon but I still am seeing 20% on my ship?

Are there any more changes that weren't mentioned in the update?

Spy bonus was mistakenly increased to 30%. The bonus was supposed to match the increase to 'Explorer. The changes should match exactly with the update description:

Dan, I liked it a lot better when there was a 30% increase to the spy bonus...

Gah! I thought 30% to spy was fair because cloak is very hard to get strong simply due to limit of 4 modules plus scanner gets 30% boost along with 5 modules. Scanner always gets much larger number than cloak of same tier.. Sounds not a good balance I think. Remember.. Cloak Bonus only works on ship not on planets unless guarded..

Heh. I see cloak dropped to 20% again. Since I am Konqul Spy, I received no boost at all on both combination, pfft. I still think Spy should get 30% cloak because of the great difficulty to get good cloak so far. Cloak is currently at lowest number compared to my other stat of same tier.. Let's look at my ship stat of same tier across the board.. It also sports NPC loots (almost all of them now on my ship)

Size Class: Heavy Galaxy Destroyer
Space: 1616 / 1627
Attack: 2592 (currently 10% buff)
Defense: 1637
Scan: 1746
Cloak: 1044
Cargo: 635.9 / 880
Upkeep: 34.5M
Konqul: Attack +20%
Spy: Cloak +20%

You can see why cloak number is at its lowest even against scanner of 1746 (even no 30% boost on that) while cloak is only 1k with 20% boost. Sounds like spy is badly underbalanced. I think 30% will help that area out..

1:This information is irrelevant to your point. Your tier of research defines the limitations on how much of each stat you can have in an unlimited amount of deck space situation. Thusly this means nothing.

Well, I just don't understand how scan receives 30% while cloak receives 20% as defense? Scan gets 5 modules while cloak gets max 4? Sounds unfair to me..

Sorry about double posts. It's just my die-hard habit of posting like that over decades. It became my style. It's tough to remind myself to break the habit.. Also, it's just a lot easier to do it via using my sidekick sometimes.

Well I cant say for sure because iv havnt researched much in cloaking, but from the looks of it cloaking is much more space efficient then scanning, not to mention that you only use cloaking for avoiding people, whereas scanning has other uses.

No, cloak is not just to avoid people.. It also enables you to sneak in to hack to bypass their scan ability.

Whoa! I just double checked my tier on cloak and scanner. Scanner actually is 1 tier less than my cloak. If I research that then my scan will be much higher than cloak about 2x.. Ouch.. That'll be huge difference for same tier of both technology, yet scan gets 30% that will amplify the difference. For scan of 2k will receive nice 600 boost to scan to make it 2600 while cloak of 20% at 1k only get 200 point boost. Huge difference there!! I think cloak needs 30% more..

My completed tech on scanner is sub-dimensional sensors and cloak is stealth field by the way..

I know. That's why I'm concerned about it heh. I thought 30% was perfect when I first saw it as long as scanner received 30% as well. Cloak would be ok at 20% if scanner was also at 20%. It's balanced I believe..
