Slightly related to this, what is Dan going to include in the "preferences" update? Because research opening with current tier should be in there at least.

love both ideas, but just a small tweak, instead of the unresearched dashes (indicating 1/3, 2/3 etc) being red, could they be gray to help us slightly colorblind players?

+1 I agree with Spyder, further more id like to add:  please be gentle, this took me loooong to make [Edit] I prefer the look of Spyders chevrons (or whatever) just could not be buggered copying them.
