I'm sure I'm not the only one who went on a red badge hunt and forgot to check my hull. And if you don't have any repair nanodrones, you lose out on your kill. So my suggestion is that when you get a message saying you have too little hull, have an option saying "Repair ship?".
Probably just wishful thinking but you never know.

i kinda like it the way it is, it can get annoying, but it adds more strategy to killing in PvP

All I do is open a new tab or window. I do this for Base attacks as well. One window for me to quickly buff arties or repair, etc.
