 NPC Abilitys vs Cloak

Right now as it is, Cloak serves no purpose in PvE. Since NPCs dont crit(?) having no scan for themselves, and dont hack you.. or I should say dont hack you in a way cloak defends against.

My Suggestion is, make cloak useful in PvE. By giving the cloak stat the ability to do 2 things.

1) Defend your ship against NPC abilitys. "XRP Warp Station attempted to lower your defences with Inverse Warp Pulse but failed" Basically higher your cloak is, the less chance a NPCs ability will effect your ship.

2) Higher Cloak will also help to not trigger NPC defence abilitys like, "Silthion Hive Colony attempts to bolster it's system with Hive Frenzy but failed?" Or just less likely to see the NPC ability trigger the better your cloak is.

It makes it harder for lower rank NPC hunters though. They need to focus on weapons and hull plus defence as ship repair costs go up.

But it's great for higher ranks. HOpefully it'll mean fewer containment cages are needed on an NPC blitz.

+1, there should definitely be some way for your own ship to employ countermeasures against enemy NPC abilities.

I love this so much. Lets extend it to planets too vs artifacts. That way cloak isn't an all or nothing thing.
