with yet another mission chain drawing to a close, and yet another race seeing the error of their ways and eager to join the galactic council, i feel i need to suggest an alternate reward yet again.

The Xecti have undoubtedly been the most evil, or at least, had the most evil potential of all the races we have done missions for/with, but once again they are looking like theyre gonna be a playable race. While this isnt necessarily a bad thing, we now have 13 playable races, soon to be 14. What i would like to suggest is instead of unlocking yet another race, we unlock another NPC faction. I know ive said this several times, but I dont think we really need another player race. We desperately need more NPCs, especially bosses, for higher levels. Although we now have the xrp warp station, which is rather difficult, it would be nice to have some new content for people who have leveled past the new mission rank limit. This is of course with the exception of the dark smuggler missions, which, although it is an amazing concept, i do not count that as a level requirement unlockable mission chain, so the last missions are the sha'din missions, which are unlocked at a relatively low-mid level compared to the increasing average level shift of the 'hardcore' players in this game.

The Xecti missions are not over yet, and although it is sure to yield another race, it would be nice if there was a follow up mission after the pact, unlockable at rank 350 or 400, or even higher depending on the difficulty of the NPCs, that would allow us to combat uninfected Xecti still controlled by a brood-mind, or perhaps driven insane by the results of the infection, eternally locked in the last orders given by the brood-mind. This would unlock new commons, uncommons, rares, and bosses, difficult, but not matched.

Flamehawks are difficult, but not as difficult as they once seemed. Now however, we have matched enemies that are infinitely more difficult than flamehawks, being the rogue tech collectors, and the stryll assassins. Flamehawks are still a 12 hit enemy at rank 400 (for me anyway) but seeing how my attack power compares to some of the people 200-400 levels higher than me, they are a breeze to take down. What im saying, is although it is going to 'suck' at first having a new difficult enemy, it would be nice to have a new NPC race added in, and not just new NPCs for existing races. This will allow new module types of every kind available for installation on players ships. And, the nice thing about having these challenging NPCs as an unlockable option, players who are into speed leveling and hardcore NPC hunting for xp do not have to do this mission, effectively removing the challenge from their battle tab. So this would benefit slow rankers who like to go after challenging enemies, especially if they have good drops, as well as speed rankers who do not want, nor need another challenge in their battle tab.

If the Xecti are truely finished, then perhaps we can have our next mission chain yield truely evil enemies that are unreasonable to the point of declaring war on the galactic council, and adding to the increasingly shrinking numbers of races that truly hate the council by attacking players on sight.

I agree with you Vekno, I would like to see a new NPC faction instead of yet another race we could play that will give us yet another fun little power. I was really hoping this would bring on more variety of NPCs to go after with some goodies to grab. We can only hope for an insane faction of them.
