Help! When I try to upgrade my ship by first selling an item and adding new decks, I seem to lose the decks of the item I sold even though the ship strength count remains the same. I still have the new decks available for build. What do I need to do?

Be sure to total up all of your module sizes to first determine if there is a discrepancy. Selling modules does reduce the space occupied on your ship, but not the total space.

I have a discrepancy of -25, which matches the loss of one of my three heavy ion cannons at 15 decks and maneuvering thrusters at 10 decks.

Please indicate which items are installed vs uninstalled.

All were active. I don't uninstall, I sell any modules not in use. That way I keep cargo space open.

When I noticed something was wrong was when I tried to keep my shield points by selling off my Heavy Ion Cannon and installing another shield module. Then I think I sold off the old shield module, thus not losing any shield points. I thought I had the 15 points then to buy a new Heavy Ion Cannon, but I couldn't buy a new one. On my next level, I tried to upgrade the maneuvering thrusters by selling the old one. I discovered that when I sold it off, the 10 deck points also seemed to be gone. That left me with -25 deck points in the hole.

In that case, please use the direct contact option mentioned in the 'read me first', as we'll need to look up your exact ship manifest to see what might be taking up the extra space, such as a special mission module (Zolazin Jammer), etc.
