Im wondering if the +% or whatever the item in question is, is a % on the TOTAL or % on the ITEMS value only.

IE you have XXX attack module with attack of 1000 +10% on planet invasion.
now is that REALLY 1100 for planet invasions, or is it really your TOTAL attack it gets added too (lets say your attack is 5000) and as such your total 5500 for planet invasion?

It's the total, e.g. an Atmospheric Decimator has +7% invasion attack bonus and 100 invasion attack so if you had 900 attack without it you'd have 1070 invasion attack with i (900 + 100 all multiplied by the bonus.

obviously the total gets added in...
otherwise, why say it's 1000 +10% instead of simply saying 1100

because its NOT obvious, is it ONLY that weapon that gets the 10% increase ONLY during planet invasion, or is it your whole ship?? there is a difference if your smart enough to understand.

Example:
Atmospheric Decimator
Invasion Attack:100, Invasion Attack Bonus:+7%

if only that one item would've gotten it, why code in a separate stat called Invasion Attack Bonus?
Dan could've simply put 107 Invasion Attack if only that one item was going to get the bonus.

the only thing that i'd agree isn't obvious to the beginners (and probably unique to this game) is that % buffs are cumulative (they affect each other)

I dunno, still going to say i want Dans input on this one. it COULD be how you say it is, but what proof can you give me? I dont currently have any %plus items, so I cant put it to the test by doing a planet invasion or whatever.
If you could do a screen capture of your ship before and after(with and without whatever item) and show it attacking something (npc/pvp whatever) and then attacking something that the bonus is for. If its as you say it is, then I should see a huge increase (your level 500+ so should have lots of attack to build on)
