I would be a little sad if i lost 24 hours of gametime, ranked up twice today.

Im sure Dan will work everything out though.

I took a 1x mega rich artifact planet less then 12 hours ago.. hate to lose that one

We may have to make manual adjustments in the next day or so. Its not ideal, but it can work.

We're going to bring the app back online. Please let us know if you see any similar problems in the next minute or so.

I am seeing the expected timer behavior instead of zero now; 1 hr worth used, no problems after that.

It doesn't seem to be ticking up endlessly anymore. But I did still have something like 12hrs of research points to spend instead of 1hr.

What's being done about the extra resources though, i still have the extra credits and by the time you get around to it people are going to have used and sold artifacts that they got making it almost impossible to keep track of

Huge difference. Production rates.

A level 100 isn't likely to collect 6 million AP. He probably has 1k hourly AP and maxes at about 21k AP (21 planets at level 100). So if the guy exploited the glitch for the 3'ish minutes it existed, he would have probably gotten less than a million. But wait! The AP collection and RP collection screens are seperate tabs, so you'd waste time switching over to collect research, switch back to collect AP, and back n forth. Plus how many rescued prisoners would you get in a million AP's worth? Maybe 20? Thats only 60 rank points, which is nothing like the 10,000's you suggested.

Level 300 probably has like 3k - 4k of each production. So increase the amounts gained accordingly. Still not 10,000's of ship bots or rank points or whatever.

Level 700+ have 10k+ but are already overpowered anyway. Most people 500+ have their research maxed out so the research bug would only really benefit base tech researches for those high levels.

UPDATE: A legionmate told me he gained 1 million AP's and only got 8 prisoners and 5 ship bots. He's level 400'ish. So lets see... 8 prisoners = 24 rank points and 5 ship bots = 10 decks. Game breaking and uber-cheating at level 400? Hardly. Plus how do you compare tonight's collected mining and artifacts already collected / sold / spent / used up compared to 24 hours ago? You can't.

No bugs for me. Spent / collected my resources with no further glitches or weird timers. All's what it should be.

I think I may know why it happened and why it won't happen again.

Dan did the maintainence right as Daylight Savings Time (DST) hit. It usually hits at 2 or 3 AM eastern standard time. Thus, a hour was removed from GL timers, causing its timers to mess up. If Dan had postponed or did the maintainence a couple hours earlier or later, so not to coincide with DST, this glitch wouldn't have happened.

Am I correct in my assumption?.

My solution to make Dan's life easier:

Report the app with where your production, credits and cargo space you had pre-glitch. Dan can reset your stuff manually, probably faster that way, than if he has to search it up.

I sent a in-game report when It it was happening , If you don't want to fine , it just show a lower skill level because you have to cheat to get ahead.
