Yes, I like them, because they give a new use for blue badges. yes, the hack boost is nice.
But, I'd prefer it if you could make them like the composite rays - only 3 installed at a time, and each one reduces the cooldown of a QF trap by 30 minutes (down to KV level), OR gives the hack boost.
this would lead to more dynamic ships, and would actually be of more benefit to hackers.

sooooooo... it'd have a choice on initial install of -30m on firewall trap timer or the hack boost?
so i'd need to get 6... and then when i'm hit w/ a QF, switch to the timer reducers... and 30 minutes later switch back to the hack boosters

yeah, usually by the time you get all 3 bots, you learn how to pick your targets efficiently, and rarely if ever hit firewalls. i like it the way it is... and i dont think the people who do commonly hit firewalls will have enough badges to even get the first 3, let alone the second batch to cut down on trap effect time.

in order to avoid switching, it could be that it has to be installed to have the effect "Your hack set off a quantum firewall trap,s but your ships systems were able to protect your ship from most harm"
