how can they be used what are they for

Complex tech parts (known as CTP) is one of the trading currencies in the game.

It drops from scrapping various artifacts, dropped by npc's, bases and badge modules.

In the non-official trade groups in FB 1 ctp = 10 kurenite = 100 exotic matter.

In game is mainly used for upgrading bases. (At least i dont know any other use)

Dont scrap Dominions for ctp. Its not worth it. The more you grow in rank, the more harder it gets to farm red badges.(for most of the people)

complex tech is used in a variety of things, from upgrading bases, to constructing prototype modules and buildings. it used to be dirt cheap to buy, worth less than exotic matter. now it is the most expensive special material in the game. my recommendation is dont waste your badges. as pwnbus stated, as you level it only gets harder. theres a small window where it gets MUCH easier, but thats around ranks 100-160. once you hit 300+ it starts taking 50+ energy to disable someone if theyre weak. i've heard of players ranked 500-600+ spending hundreds of energy for one badge. so once you have all 4 mk3s, and all 9 base modules, then go ahead and scrap as many dominion cannons as you want, cause theres not much use for red badges after that unless you want the planet buildings. but until then, play it smart and get what you need first. THEN go and waste your resources once you are done.

do not scrap dominions! Either save your reds for MK3's or install and use the dominions.
