You can place a player on the bounty list for a sum of money. These players would then be warned via the usual pop-up that they had been placed on the bounty list.

While on the bounty list your ship can be taken further than disabling. Players attacking you via bounty list can "blow up" your ship (global module damage, heavy credit loss).

Placing a player on the bounty list costs large amounts of money and 200 energy. The player who lands the final blow gets the credits payed by the person who placed the bounty.

For the first 15mins, only people who would get a badge off of you would get a chance to fight, after this it becomes a free for all.

Managing not to die while on the bounty list (measured in battles - not time) would have exp rewards.

Thoughts apreciated.

wow, brilliant idea. but seems a bit harsh, "blowing up ships". say someone raged because you disabled them, and they placed you on the list. you get module damage and credit loss just for badging :|

It has potential.

Maybe, rather then a FFA on them, they get "flagged" on people's battle tabs. Maybe a rollover bounty icon which displays the bounty.
Disabling them gets you the bounty, and you can raid them for X% of their credits.
After your "prize raid", their bounty starts to expire (1-3 hours?).
They are still flagged, but anyone who disables them gets Y% of the original bounty, and anyone who hacks/raids them gets Z%.
They also appear on battle tab for raids/hacks even when disabled.

The target gets a "bounty counter", and for every so many battles they survive, they get rewards (exp, credits, tat sort of thing).
If no-one disabled them in the bounty period, they get the placed bounty.

Also, let the person who placed the bounty "see" the targeted ship for the duration, so they can see the counters go down...

With this, a base bank could come into effect. you can store credits there, keeping them safe, but you pay a deposit fee.

If they want to spend 200 energy and a huge amount of credits... yes Howesy.

As far as the mechanic of destroying ships goes:

When a ship is disabled it fights at 50% stats.
Destroying takes 10% more damage than disabling.(So someone with 10k hull must be gotten down to -1k hull)

-1 to them appearing disabled though Spyder. Wouldn't you hate losing all those targets? With potetially hundreds of bounties...

The list could have a tab above the battletab, along with bases, the battle market and NPC elites.

If you played the game Vampire Wars it is very similar to the ideas as posted. basically how it will work if implemented in GL:

You put a bounty on a ship for a min fee(KU/CTP/EM) the higher the rank of the ship the bounty is put on higher the cost of the bounty.

a Bounty can only be put on someone if he was raided, disabled, hacked or planet stolen from the grieved player. There can be a huge

amount put on a ship but there must be a minimum .

When this ship is disabled and raided or hacked the bounty automatically disappears and the person who did the disable and raid or hack collects

automatically the bounty. The bounty if not collected disappears automatically after 12 hours. Only one person can lock at a time when a

bounty appears and if unsuccessful then this bounty will reappear if in the allocated 12 hour window.

There will be a separate tab for this Bounty Hunting.
