What's the minimum planet space to divert to researched defensive planet builds?

technically you don't need any defense on a planet
technically you don't need anything on a planet

you defend based on the size and stats for that size... and based on how many planets you've lost so far


personally, i don't defend most large planets (but i also usually don't increase their production either)... i just drop 3 +10's and move on
very large and up get 2 ob shields, 2 qc mines, and an assortment of pop and cloak based on planet size and the extra space left after +10 buildings are placed

what is better InvasionDefense(300) or Defense (450)?

Assuming they don't have access to Zolazin Saboteurs or Crimson Cluster Missiles, the 450 standard defense is better. If they do, its kind of a toss-up. The standard defense would make it harder to get the population down but is sabotagable (word?? lol) while the Invasion Defense structure doesn't help during the depopulation process but is immune to sabotage/CCM and continues to be effective when they make the invasion roll. Best bet, go with both.

The invasion defense(300 = soldier outpost) isn't immune to sabotage/CCM the same goes for the council building(100 pop/500 invasion defense), both can be sabbed/ccm'd, as i've seen them sabbed.

Yep, sorry 'bout that. I didn't look up what gives 300 invasion defense. :oops: If it is something you can add from the "Add New Structure" button, it can be Sabbed/CCM'd so my advice needs tweaked a bit... Go with the higher number... :)
