Hello, I have an idea that i think would make the game more interesting. A new research branch called Crew Weapons. Researching this tab would unlock weapons for your crew that you could purchase just like any module,but only have to buy it one time, as it applies to all crew members. Weapons for your crew would increase your raiding ability,and increase the amount of artifact/mineral points raided. The Crew branch could be connected to the Weapons branch.(First level would be modern weapons,Second would some kind of mass driver gun, Etc.) I think that this would be a cool aspect of the game. Thanks for the awesome game

Research Tree - CrewI could add this to that. There's already a small tree suggestion going on there and this could be put in it.

Ok,so for each module,do you have to research it individually or in masses?

Also,maybe my idea could be a certain tab, Say "Crew weapons." Upon researching it you have the ability to start purchasing new weapons,and every 1 or 2 tabs there is another weapon upgrade

But how would the upgrades increase raiding effectiveness. Would it be 10% each level or 5%? Should we even allow players to get +100% raiding? I think that would make raiding too easy,and i forgot to say this but crew weapons should also protect against raiding.

I think the research tabs could be like this: First: Advanced Infantry Designs,Details: The design and creating of weapons for use in space combat. Second: Linear Miniaturization,Details: The modification of Mass Drivers for use to crew members and raiding partys. Third: Laser channeling, Details: The focusing of laser energy into miniature weapons for crew use. Fourth: Ion Enrichment, Details: An advanced technique of Ion Channeling on a much smaller scale, to create powerful weapons for high tech crew. Fifth: Plasma Harnessing,Details: By replacing the filter in regular Plasma Cannons with Nanosphere filters, A much smaller weapon can be created for ship crew purposes. Sixth: Wave Phasing, Details: Creating Phase-modulators using both Laser and Wave energies to create a very powerful crew weapons. I stopped right here because i got stumped,I'm taking suggestions to these current designs and the next ones?
