I've been playing for over 11 months, and I'm very careful with my best planets.

People are getting antsy over their strategy? Sheesh.

If it works for you then great. At some point you might lose a planet but it's part of the game. It's better to have lots of planets with a little defence and high production than hard to take planets with poor production because all the space is taken up with defences.

Someone took a nice Demon planet from me which sucked. I didn't have much defence on it. After they took it they were getting about half the production out. They'd brick it with planetary shields. I get more out of an average extremely rich without defences than the massive extremely rich demon.

I rely a lot on cloak for my best planets. It's pretty high rick because some players have 15k scan but so far it''s done me well. At some point I'll lose a 15x planet but in the mean time I'm getting lots of production out of the 14 15x or grater massive or greater planets I own.

hmm, I do agree with that, but I get what everyone saying. Basically any high rank who REALLY wants your planet will get it. But there is no point in over defending your planet because it could of been going into something useful, when some attacks it THEN do something about the defense, and putting 4k defense on won't stop many but will stop some low rank from nicking you planet.

This exactly, but people over rank 200 will still take your planets. as i said.

does it matter? Xecti get a +40% bonus to planets and ships when they are being attacked or invaded

Why not? Invasion defense is multiplied by 3 like defense and attack for invasion defense purposes, is it not?

low pop will get u easily sabbed, so ur defence just fizzles
and even if there weren't sabs. an active legion will probably have 10-15 pokes at invasion before u r back to pod it. even at 10% each that's gonna be likely to fall.

so.... letting ur planet easily open to invasion is a baaaad thing

so 8 to 10 space is just under and over 10k def with legion bonus. and that is what i have on my top 50% of planets, but my top 10 or 20 planets have more - and that is growing from my very good planets are growing in numbers

actually.. legion bonus multiplier = (50 + mL) / 50 = mL/50 + 1 (use whichever equation is easiest for you, they're both the same)
mL = members in Legion

4800 raw defense @ 54 members = 9984 defense
