I've been making use of this forum a lot...
Anyway, I recently received advice that I should hunt Ambushers as soon as possible for their prisoners drops. Could someone please tell me what their required rank is, and if they have any cloak?
With the T.O. Troop Carriers, is there a minimum rank required to see them, or only the 50 (thanks ajax) scan requirement?
Thanks guys.
Edit: Would the most space efficient way to find them be to have two Decryption Quad Frames (25 scan apiece, 10 space apiece) installed? The next most efficient module available (not mission reward) would appear to require 30 space and give 53 scan.

T.O.s are matched so no min rank. You'll need 50 scan to see them though.
Ambushers didn't used to have cloak, so if they do now it's probably the same 50 the Blade Harvesters, Rogue Lab Pods, and Troop Carriers have.

What is the most space efficient way to find them, I would guess two decryption quad frames for a total of 20 space and 50 scan? Also, if you know, what rank is the minimum to see Ambushers? I know their rank, according to the Wiki, is 125, so I would assume they start appearing at 75 or so? Thanks.

the following have minimum level requirements to obtain... but... they're more efficient than the methods mentioned above 1 shadin hypergrid core = 14 space, 55 scan 1 stryll prey tracker = 14 space, 75 scan
and here's the most efficient method for lowbies (note: requires 46 total missions cleared)... 1 scan (you start with this first one) 5 scan (AI Supercomputer - 9 total missions cleared) 25 scan (Tachyon router - 46 total missions cleared) 20-40 scan (any one of several 10-space modules) total space used = 10
the key to this though is the tachyon router... without it, lowbies and newbies are pretty much forced to use 20 spaces...

Therein is the issue - I have 0 missions complete and I'm certain that I'm below the minimum rank for any NPC modules other than Crimson Autolasers. Until then I suppose the two Decryption Quads are my best bet. Thank you for all the information though.

Get your Genetarr transmitters and install as soon as you hit rank 50: 10 decks, 55 scan, 20 energy.

Stryll Hunt Sensor size 10 scan 50, from Sketh, Stryll Predator rank 60-180 If you don't like to mission much, u can use this instead Genetarr transmitters are from this task line: http://galaxylegion.com/wiki/index.php/ ... filtrationIt's the 4th mission in the chain

Does he have any cloak that I will have to worry about? Thanks a ton for the information. I'm going to assume that Ranks 75+ can see Ambushers (as that sounds about right).

While the Genetarr Transmitters are obtained in the 4th mission of a chain, the chain's actually pretty fun in its entirety, and I highly recommend doing it regardless. Some pretty cool items along the way.
Also, I'd like to point out that if you get past the first mission of that chain, you'll already have 2 Stryll Transponders, which each give +20 scan, +20 defense for 10 space.

I've got an excess of blue badges, and two quad frames could get me 10 more scan for the same space. I also don't really do missions, I've been staving off ranking with hacking and such. Thank you for the help though .
