Everyone hates it when you have energy left that gets wasted when you lvl up. I know I do. I think that there should be a rare NPC maybe even an elite, that drops an artifact that lowers your XP% earned for a set amount of time.

It would be a great way to get missions done.

think of all those times that you want to use a tri matix but don't because you be wasting a bunch of energy.

this would be a short term artifact lasting no more than 10 minutes.

best way that you can get the best bang for your energy buck.

think about it....it's another rare that gives you an art that let you gain like 50% (or less) xp for 10 minutes.

this would just equally waste the energy as your just spending more energy to do the same amount of work?

i think point is if you use energy cube you get loads of excess energy, with that art you could fit few more mission clicks in same rank and energy is not wasted...
tho i drop excess energy in to the base...

I haven't been NPC'ing because I don't want to rank. I'm at the point if i rank higher I'll be out of people to badge.
We definitely need a way to slow down ranking, thats for sure!

no matter how you look at it, gaining lowered or no experience is a NEGATIVE status effect
why would you willingly put a negative status effect on your ship ? in reality you never would

a status effect that lowers or nixes gained experience should be a trap or npc elite special attack, or even a base trap

If you don't like it you can scrap it or sell it. You still get that level up, you've just fit a few more mission clicks in before you level up.
