I think it's time that GL has a code of conduct and expected behaviour. Not just for the forum, but also for in-game.
Basic stuff, but when you join GL you should have to tick a box agreeing to the following:
Cheating is not acceptible - be found to be cheating and you will be lifetime banned Multi-ing is not acceptible - be found to be multi-accounting and you will be lifetime banned, all your alts as well. Scripts are not acceptible - found to be running any and you will be lifetime banned
There should be no exception - that this be universal - whether or not the player buys GP.
Any other constructive ideas & suggestions? This needs to be something that everyone, every legion needs to get behind and openly support.

+1 There should. HOWEVER. People I believe should be allowed explanation before being banned. Incase there was a mistake.

"No personal attacks of any kind."
Calling someone a cheater, a spammer, and a tin-can is fine, but sometimes people take it too far.

1. Cheating - There's already security for this the most powerful and useful artifacts are not tradeable nevermind people sometimes run the same internet connection and there'd be no way to prevent that entirely so I totally don't see where this BROAD definition goes. 2. Is redundant of 1. Again powerful artis are not trade-able. Never mind that again people play from the same house. If you had to pay bills had kids would YOU buy them EACH a seperate internet connection? IF NOT and to be "Fair" to everyone would YOU want to be moderated and policed until you bled some extraordinary color of horror other than red? 3. Scripts, any scripts that keep you online, do the work for you or alter the game itself shouldn't be permitted obviously. However scripts that enhance should not be scrutinized because someone found out Scripts are the devil because of one or two negative experiences and thus like our ancestors condemned Electricity itself as occult. Thus there should be a determination between these types. Additionally 4.No one except for mature paid staff that the game developer selects himself should ever be permitted to moderate the game itself if rules were to be put in play. I've seen WAY too many games go downhill as a result of what oldsters might refer to as "tom-foolery" or in my language "Jokers". That's my 2cents on it. Calling someone a cheater, a spammer, and a tin-can is fine, but sometimes people take it too far. While I find this concept somewhat hard to enforce I believe an optional broad-spectrum swear filter should be applied for this. Otherwise those who like to hear cusses can disable the optional filter which should be enabled by default for the younger Galaxy legion audience. Those who see the insults and are offended should be able to handle it like adults and "block" the player from posting messages on Comms or to block inter-legion chat /block Playername in the legion chat box.

There rules are already in place the problem is, the concept of innocent until proven guilty, or do u wanna go back to the caveman way of guilty unless proven innocent?
GP should obivously NOT be a part of the determination of outcome. But the rules are horribly hard to enforce for different reasons.
On another note(ranting ahead, stop reading if u don't wanna see ranting), whereas I have always abid by the rules. I have always believed anti-multi rules to be rather pointless because it can hardly be enforced. In the end, the honest players like me just gets by peacefully while MOST of the multi users benefit one way or another. That's counter productive cause cheater come out ahead. Dan have built enough safeguards into the game to make multis MOSTLY useless. That really should be the better option. If dan can just figure out how to make player/planet attacks immue to multi spams... I for one would push for allowing multis to even the playing field. But until then, I guess there is still a need to just flat out "ban" multis(however ineffective that is)
I have yet to see a single game that can effectively enforce anti multi laws w/o creating horrible misfires.... The only ones that tries really hard.... well... they fail horribly. I was "banned" in atlantica online for a week because of "multi" when I only made ONE char in the ONE account I have.. it made me miss some of the stuff and was part of the reason i quit the game. it was stupid. And then there was another browser game that auto disconnects ppl when same IP are detected, that worked really swell when i traveled to china... Also quit that one later(well, this one was actully more due to boredom, but the fact that I fell behind due to this problem probably didn't help~) A few other game I play might also have multi-countermeasures and enforce them vigriously, but I haven't really noticed because I haven't been hit by a misfire yet. But I know for a fact that multis are not monitored properly in MOST of the game I play, some of which I'm a moderator of and was told expressively by the GM that they don't really care and don't wanna raise trouble... Why the heck did they put up the rule in the first place? that just puzzles me.
In any case, that was just a random rant and venting off~ I really don't like rules against just "multis", there are better implementations, like ones that make multis useless or just simply ban some aspect that are REALLY harmful for the game(which are usually easier to detect) Until the point where there is one super game company that makes a game that is so good that everyone wanna play even if they actully require registration IN PERSON with valid IDs(bunch of hassle to go through, so gotta be good) I see no feasible way of making multis go "poof."

There already is something like this, it's called the 'Terms' button.
