Ok so with the CT lab, I was wondering if a msg could be posted to the legion when a player fails an attempt to get a discovery? At least have it post to the officers com in yellow so we know the members are tryn to get the next one.

then the comm would get filled with over 200 messages.
I don't see how this is useful, the chances are always the same.
so +/- on the idea

probably a better idea would just be if the game kept a running tally of failures since the last success and showed it right there next to the button

chance decreases with each new recipe found...
people want to be able to complain about how many millions of research they wasted

Im going to put my 5k research/hour to good use I might as well have some braggin rights =p that and it points out slackers

possibly have it appear in the base logs instead in its own tab so as to prevent it from clogging the main tab

sadly that's not a good idea to have the attempts show in the log at all... the filters on the base log are client-side javascript, not server side.... you only get to see the last 50 log entries.... if this was getting placed in the log, the more meaningful entries would quickly disappear
