we already have exotica but can we have more exotica typed style planets that we can take over?

if you want specifics just that give 4 more exotica planets to fight for since a single legions wouldnt have the man power to guard them effectively so its gonna give others make a name for themselves.

spice up the game a little will ya?

I had a thread on this ages ago. Got very cluttered. Here's a few refined ideas. We don't want another exotica. I think we need something different.:

Pulsoron
This strange, tiny planet seems alive, and often emits bursts of an unknown energy form. This energy may be containable, but it will be dangerous to all involved...
Tiny size
No resources, but gives you 1/2 an hour's worth of energy extra every hour (so if your charge rate is 30/hour, you'd get a bonus 15 energy with your delivered productions)
200 population.
Every 8 hours, one of the following effects will randomly happen:
Flare: For the next 4 hours, the energy bonus doubles.
Flux: For the next 4 hours, the energy bonus halves, but the planet is immune to all attacks.
Storm: For the next 4 hours, one structure is removed at random every hour, and no new structures can be built.
Aura: For the next 4 hours, any ships that attack will have their attack doubled but defence halved.
Pulse: All guarding ships are removed, disabled and cannot re-guard the planet for 12 hours.
Purge: The population halves, and the population rate drops to 90% for 12 hours.
Sentience: The planet will automatically build the best possible defensive structures to fill available space, for free. Defence doubles for 4 hours.
Immune to all Artifacts

Derelict Nucleic Analysing station
This is a small "planet", completely manmade out of metal. It hasn't been used in a while, but if you can recharge it, then you will be able to use it's advanced technology for your own ends.
0 Space.
0 attack and defence. (only way to defend is guard)
500 population
No productions.
Every 20 hours for which it is defended, the owner can nominate one of their legion members (including themselves) to use the station. This allows a free race change. Also, every 4 hours, it produces a biological weapon of the owner's choice (engineered virus, mutagenic cartridge, quantum bio vaporiser, etc)
Immune to all artifacts.

Bricket:
This planet's is made entirely out of solid clay, a result of it's dangerously close orbit to the nearby star. The surface is completely uninhabitable, but just below the crust is very rich in minerals
Large size
20x Mega Rich Mining. No other resources.
Passive 5,000 defence.
1000 population.
NO non-production structures can be built on it at all.
Immune to all artifacts.

ah cool but though i agree with some of those proposals i however dont like some of the other ideas......atm i didnt realised this has been discussed before but if more ppl kick up a stink for this demand then it increases the chances its gonna happen.thanks anyway

This thread was about 6 months old. at least. I just lifted my best ideas from it.
Just showing how the planets could be changed to give better rewards.

I like the second planet idea the most, makes it so you only face the guards, and not the guards along with 20 Obviation barriers. But i reckon the reward should be something different than a race change, maybe like a bonus 50% to all your production, or a 50% bonus to base production. Having a free race change would be too extreme, unless you extend the time to like 12hrs would be better.

so what I said this over a year ago... who cares who said what 1st.... why must every one seek fame just support the idea when it comes out and maybe it will get implemented.

And if someone suggests the same idea again then support it if its a good idea...... maybe no one saw it when you posted it, maybe no one wanted it back then.

great idea and it would be nice to see more battle planets in the game, Exotica was owned by the dysons for the longest time.... but then no one cared about it. It could have been retaken and was retaken back but it is not worth the time or recourses to defend just to be a trophy planet,


Now if the planet offered legion bonuses then that would be worth going for, but as a simple rock in space taking up a slot in my planet log it is worthless.... and the reason I wont waste time for it!!!!!!

How can u defend that planet when u can't place any non-production structures on it, and it only has 5k passive def,i couldn't take it but definitely "much" higher ranks could take it easily. The whole point of these king of the hill planets is to hold em for as long as possible, but not being able to defend them. I haven't done the mission for exotica probably won't, i might much later in the game tho. So im not sure if u get a green when u invade it, so if this planet were put in the game it is basically a free badge planet where people take turns. "I just invaded it it's your turn now". Sorry but all planets should be defendable.

If you didn't know exotica can basically be only taken by most of the top legions, and it does take a lot of effort and resources to take and defend. The whole point on this idea is to make more planets like exotica, yet different and unique for each planet, and to also make them harder to defend. Its also an idea that these planets can be taken by more legions, rather than just the top 10 legions.

this particular one i would add the following:
cannot obtain a green badge from capturing
cannot be guarded due to proximity to nearby star

Reason for the no-guard: if it was guardable, then these would tend to migrate to the top legions and probably stay there... instead, a no-guard would definitely make you think about whether or not you want to waste your daily invasion on the planet for a chance at an hr or two's production... it would make these a ton of fun!!

But if more of these planets were created, it would be hard even for the dysonians to take and guard all planets effectively as they would be dividing up there forces between all planets, which would make the planets change hands more often.

Who said it would be free? It would take A LOT of effort and resources to take these planets, as it would be guarded by whole legions. So essentially it wouldnt be free.

But i do feel the bonuses that would come with the planets should benefit the whole legion rather than each individual, so legion members would be more motivated in helping take the planets.
