Hello

I just did this mission, and got me a Genetarr Transmitter. It says its a special item size 10, scanning 20, and energy 20, and if I wait til lvl 50 itll do 55 scanning instead.

Thats all well and dandy, im lvl 25 i can wait.. but. the Energy 20 part - does that mean for having this bad boy ill lose 20 energy? cos I can repeat the quest (80*25 is a lot of energy) 3 more times and get 4 for a potential 220 scanning? if 4 are allowed..

But would I lose 80 energy? are these things worth it?

Also: Can anyone give me some advice on nice items to aim for, I just got the shield charge +10 item, and the Energy charge 10 item.. are there others worth it?

Also: Whats the fastest way to rank? I am doing missions exclusively at the moment.... rank 25

Cheers

The answer is hold onto them. You will get 80 energy for them whether you install them now or after level 50. Later on, the scan power will be more important and getting +140 scan (+35*4) at no additional space. I can tell you, at my level, every little point of scan is important. If you can afford to hold onto it and install them later, that's what I would do. You will not lose the 80 energy. It will still be there. It will be +20 energy/+55 scan.

At this point, research better reactor cores for the energy. Save them! You may never have the opportunity to have more of them and you'll wish you had saved them.

Ranking up: Divide mission experience given by energy cost. Whatever has the highest number will help you rank up the quickest.

Oh so I actually GAIN 20 energy? Oh great Im keeping those

I have 3 days 9 hours to do it 3 more times (80*25 energy for 55 exp + those eventually seems worth it)

Cheers

Ok first off the 20 energy is what you get not what you lose. You will gain that with each model. So yes they are well worth it.

Next: What to aim for is up to you and how you want to build your ship. I like weapons, hull, and shield but others like scan and cloak. Or you can mix everything it is up to you and what you want to do.

The fastest way to rank at your rank is PVP fighting. You can normally get more than double the energy spent in each battle and most players your size don't have traps. Or you could buy some GP's and just keep doing missions over and over with energy refills till you get to the rank you want. If you do this you will be really far behind on research but you will also be able to colonize that many more worlds to help you.

Hope this helps.

If you don't get it all done now don't worry about it you will be able to do it later in the game from where you left off.

At 3 minutes a point of energy, one can make 480 energy a day. It costs 2000 to do the mission once so everyone, starting now should be able to complete it at least once . If you level up, it will be even faster.

The mission will be back, just like other chains like this. It will probably take 2 months or so for the chain to complete and another week before it is made available to do again. The Prejor chain and the Zolazin chain started this way.

Yeah, if you don't complete the mission, don't worry about it. You'll get the chance to complete it - without a time limit - in a few months. And by that time, you should be stronger and have more energy in the first place (And be recharging energy faster too), so you'll find the mission easier to complete the second time round.

And again, just to confirm, the Genetarr Transmitter adds 20 to your maximum energy when installed. Since you can get four of the transmitters, this totals 80 extra energy. As with all other energy modules, you will lose the energy if you uninstall the module, but you'll get it back if you reinstall it.

I've completed the mission already, and i've got all four transmitters. I'm also over the level 50 limit, so I've got the Mark II transmitters. Definitely wait until you're over level 50 before you install them to get the bonus scan power.
