This would be so much fun, we could have a ship avatar page, really be able to custom design it they way we want,,, also you could add some mission or npcs that if you finished them they would unlock another ship Logo mode

We could get real creative with this:

We could divide it out to each race, and Have SPECIFIC custom ships and Logos that only that race could have.... PLUS

If you are a long time member of that race ( say 3 months maybe? ) some other diffrent ships within that specific race can become available to you,,, heck you could make one at 3 months, 6 months, 9 months,,,etc,,, plus they could have diffrent options of UNIQUE ship mods for that specifc Longtime member and race

Dan I really hope you strongly consider this as people having the same looking ships are very generic in my opinion at this point,,, they were great for starting the game out, But i feel the evolution in the game really needs these options

i would love to see something like this for the 80% of the users that will take it seriously. But sadly the other 20% will use it to offend certain people, religions, cultures and spam inappropriate BS.

regarding logos, you said you like games. i assume youve played call of duty black ops. they had a wonderful system in place where you could create custom emblems that would then be displayed on your guns. My clan was originally E.V.I.L., or the long version, every villain is lemons. we all had our own custom lemons that we displayed. Mine was the yeti lemon... a lemon with fists and a beard. After my clan moved on because black ops was a nightmare if you were new, and didnt know how to spawn camp or evade spawn campers, i changed my emblem to a skull on a flaming tribal background.

However, my emblems were much different than other player's emblems... some players just chose one symbol to represent themselves. which makes me think they either were unable to think of anything, didnt know how to use the emblem system, or were just 'vanilla' (or uncreative) in their thinking.

those comprised maybe 25% of the emblems i saw. the other 75% were used to create extremely explicit sexual images, mainly featuring hardcore... sodomy. but also comprising softcore images of women. Because of this, i dont think this emblem system will be seen in future games by that company. while i would LOVE this system, and even tried thinking of acceptable ways to include it into the game, i dont think its a good idea... for the exact reason that innocents and children play this game. (by innocents i mean people that are either easily offended or remain ignorant to such sexual perversions.)

also, regarding the game halo 2, i recall a custom emblem system in there. even if it only involved 3 overlapping images. but even then people still found the ONE system that formed the silhouette of a male phallus... no matter how simple you make it... people find a way

I had a really realistic picture of Batman on a building as my emblem...well, as realistic as it could have been.

How about adding a "Report this emblem" button.

what pervs. 1 of every 15 people you know is a perv. The internet is just full of 'em. But to create a male phallus out of 3 overlapping pictures must really mean that they have nothing better to do with their lives.

And there could be a report system for offensive logos. The first one is a warning, second could be a temp loss of privelige to use it, and the third could be a perm loss of priveliges.

Or Dan could do what he's already doing.... Saving himself headaches by NOT including a personal logo option. He must get enough player-induced migraines as it is.

hehe your probably right, but I tend to aggree with a warning sytem, make it simple so whoever is in charge can just look at it, and make a fairly quick decision. There is a report abuse option in texas holdem when people are chatting, so something like that, but Dan or whoever runs it would not have to take very much time in just glancing at an image and making a decision, I think this could work and be a win win.

Something else occured to me,,,

We already have personalized LEGION LOGOS, so Dan found a way for us to do that and still have some creativity and change colors and such, so my thought was he could do this with the ship logos as well

what if we our Legion logos on our ships? and instead of the red crown for enemy planet why not just put the legions symbol?

You have no idea how badly I would love to see THAT happen. As long as it has a hover with legion name and player name. <--Long overdue

YES!!! THIS would be nice. plus, itd be nice to be able to search for a legion in the search box... but i'd prefer legion emblems to be on our ships and displayed on our planets.
