I am looking for a legion where I can park my ship up for 2-3 weeks and get out and soak up some sun. This not permanent move.

Do not care which legion as long as no butthurt noob alerts
Drama free where i can socialise and not demanded to anything except be chilled

disable yourself on exotica, and stay disabled... as long as the leader of your legion knows you'll be disabled and inactive and they're ok with it, you'll be fine...
you'll just have to worry about your planets possibly being stolen during that time, and the loss of production...

please be specific as to what you plan on doing online during those 2-3 weeks while you're taking a break

Exotica, now looks throw my planets. hmm... nope no exotica planet to disable myself

then find a nice npc or have someone from another legion disable you... point is, once you're disabled if you don't hit back they can't get a link to alert you and you'll be off of everyone's BT

if you need help self-disabling beyond that last 10% hull... drop some hull modules... then your 10% limit is lowered

I haven't been alerted, I want a break from my legion cause some of them keep alerting over badge hits and im sick and tired of having to pick up the pieces and sort out their crap as well play my own game thus wanting a break. I want to relax for min 2 weeks somewhere hit elites/bases and what not and don't have to worry about alert "This guy disabled me" BS. Once I have gathered my cool-head again i will go back and deal with them.

haha, choose a new legion that has been founded on the first page of the legion search page. theyll most likely accept you immediately. then just chill, and enjoy your overlord status amongst your legionmate(s). plus, they most likely just started. so they dont even know anything about this game to cause drama over.
