Does the Stryll Trapper still drops Stryll Trap Probe ? Does the probe still fit this description ? "This probe returns data on the total amount of active traps a ship has online." I find it utterly not worthing so I'd like to know before I spend 1800 worth of damage in energy. Thanks in advance.

The trap probe when used lets you know how many traps an enemy ship has on line. I use these all the time before attacking an enemy. If they have only one or two traps on I will attack because the chances that one of those traps are a Halcon or a virus is smaller than if they would have four or five traps on. Also when you destroy one of those ships they give you two probes not just one.

Oh well. At 1800 worth of hit points and 500 attack/defense I'll pass. Not worth the effort at all.

If you participate in PvP, the trap probes can be useful since you can avoid targets with traps (that will make it so you can't fight for a while). If you don't do PvP, then just let the NPC timer expire and kill the other stuff on your battle tab.

See I don't fight PVP very often but I never have less than 100 trap probes with me. Don't ask me why its just that I can hold that many and still have over 1000 cargo space left so why not. lol I use them only if I get a legion alert or if I feel like attacking another player just randomly. I think that for players over the rank of 50 having about 5 with them at all times would be a good idea just in case.

It is one of the things that can help determine if a player is active. I check actions left, legion %active, active effects, resources probe, and set traps to help determine if a player is active. If I have a planet in my list that I want I will watch the rank of the owner and check the %active of the legion. Then I will give the planet a shot to see if they respond by putting up a defense. Most planets are not worth fighting for or fluxing, but if the owner is inactive I will take an occupied planet.

Pretty USELESS to this Design Engineer. They need to distinguish between Hack and Attack Types to be useful. Their only worth to me is SCRAP value, the NPC is just a WAISTED SLOT for the time it lasts, and the DEVS are HANDICAPPING those that get them, like they are handicapping me.

1:Design what?
2:I find them incredibly useful, if you dont PVP then you wont and yes you should scrap them. They are definitely not useless and knowing exactly what traps are up would be too powerful so deal with it.

1] Retired Industrial Systems Designer. Game Developers are Industrial rejects, because Industrial mistakes are very costly. Game mistakes result in extremely scarce to no cost.

2] I indulge in all functions of the game.

3] " exactly" = You require reading comprehension and logic tutoring.

1:Not the with Autocads
2:Then I find it weird and unusual that you do not find them useful
3: Wether the traps are Hack, Damage, or Debuff, or any other classification is in my opinion too exact. My logic and reading comprehension are fine thank you.
;)

Well you obviously didn't work with people. You have to actually type something for it to be communicated BTW; not much of a reading comprehension or a logic issue.

1] Various drawing Cad systems were utilized by Drafting Aids to finalize design sketches, notes, calculations, and specifications.
2] Scarcely useful in very few instances, but certainly the Scrap value is more than their usefulness, and obviously NEITHER is worth the procurement cost.
3] LOL, well perhaps tolerable for a female.
