maybe this is a stupid question: I'm ranked 179. It takes a lot of effort on my part to get a lock on Graxis, Stryll Prison. Which I have done enough times. I now have way to many Stryll Prey Tracker's It is rare that I get a Rescued Stryll Prisoners artifact. How is it determined. My uneducated guess is that the higher ranked players get the Prisoners and lower ranked get the tracker's. Yet sometimes I have received the prisoners and one time when it came up in my cue I spent 18 hours damaging it to be sure I did the most damage -- all I got was another tracker. Then I scrape it for: 1 Stryll Prey Tracker(s) scrapped for 262,283 credits
I'm just frustrated.

I think its about a 50% chance of getting either. I have gotten both about the same amount of times.

Mojo311 Thanks for your thoughts. I do not believe I received 50%. If I had I would not whine...... I seriously wonder if your RANK has something to do with it. Anyone else ???? Or even DAN?

There aren't a whole lot of other people with access to only just damage it 7% and walk away with nice loot and a good xp return.

For clarification, each eligible player rolls separately for a reward, and they will receive a reward based on the drop chances alone.
For the Glaxis, Prisoners will drop roughly 30% of the time.

For the Glaxis, Prisoners will drop roughly 30% of the time. Sorry for butting in and derailing the thread but what are the chances of getting "Lazuli Parts Vault" out of "Lazuli Factory Complex" ? Three kills, nine "Eruption Channelers". Does it drop anymore ?

Dan, Thank you for the info! So I will continue to spend allot of energy/artifacts because the Rescued Stryll Prisoners artifact is so worthwhile.
Regarding me not always reaching the 7% -- I do my best but someone else comes along and kills it off.
I have also noticed that sometimes I get a reward and sometimes not. Even though the # of shares hasn't been reached. (like 10 for some, 15 for others).
I may be making a fool of myself but I assume that one has to reach a certain level of damage before being eligible for a reward and if you do X% then your locked in for a reward. This theory would explain why I have received rewards even though I didn't reach the lock and on other ships no reward even though all the all the shares had not been reached (ie 10/15).

No you do not have to reach a minimum amount of damage to receive loot on a boss. The loot is given out to the top 3/10 players that have done the most damage. Meaning I get a boss pop up on my battle tab. Typically you make sure you get the lock as once you share it, it's open to anyone and someone may "bump" you off by doing more damage. By getting a "lock" ( a little lock symbol will appear next to your name, for 3 person bosses it's 33% and for 10 person bosses it's 10% or more) it means your guaranteed to get to roll on loot irreguardless of how much damage is done by anyone else. Once you share it anyone can hit it that's in it's share range. What more than likely happened was somone came along after you and did more damage than you did and killed it, so you knocked down the list and didn't receive any loot. Depending on how your legion is set up, some, like ours, discourage against this.
