Also notice that I receive an over abundance of over priced Mass Storage Containers every time I get over 20K AP, yet receive extremely FEW Tresseract Containers. Well 1750 AP x 6 = 10,500 AP.
Yawn, you whine a lot. My last star chart was a large terra 2x mega artifact planet. Sure I've gotten a lot of crap from them but I've gotten some great ones too. It's like any other scan, you win some, you lose some. Mass Storage Pods are a 'common' artifact when you get to 20k saved up. It's very easy not to get them; don't go above 20k. I realize you're upset at Dan for something that I don't think is his fault. He's offered to help you multiple times. If you don't like the game, how it works, how it runs, you could go play something else.

I would like the alien star charts a whole lot more if they came with the option to purge the planet they found from your list. Right now, they seem like an anti-star chart purger. You have a choice, use the purger or use the chart. Once you use a bunch of charts, the purger becomes essentially useless.

the star chart purgers are significantly easier to come by: low ap cost+high drop rate and a dedicated mission to obtain them that can be repeated indefinitely.

You can't quite use the star-charts purger quest indefinitely. It sucks 750 Exotic material points for every purger. To me that's worth it as the other quest that uses exotic material is 750 per hit and 100 hits to complete once! Either way I haven't found Alien Star charts to give better or worse unoccupied planets compared to scanning. They are like a free 100% success hit and always unoccupied. If the seem lower then average it's probably because the better planets are more likely to be occupied. I'm not a Pvp planet type person unless I notice a level 6 player past the 20 day safe zone. Thats a planet of someone who gave up the game. I think the difference is PERCEPTION of what is a good planet or a worthless one. Dan has set up this game with a limited number of planets. There will come a magical day in the future when those average rocks look like great finds! I recommend using all your purges BEFORE a scan blitz and then use the star-charts after to supplement what you discover. There is no point using them immediately unless all your other planets to choose from are crap in which case you should be planning a scan blitz anyway. When you burn 2 energy cubes supplementing a scan blitz that could have been used leveling and you get 5 crappy planets in exchange... suddenly you want to see a LOT more of these show up. If you don't want yours I'll take em. I'll take em by the hundreds. Personally I keep my artifact points above 10k anyway. Star Charts are the type thing I like to look for and keep. I'd gladly set and auto-destruct on every spy-probe I ever collected. I also like the 20k Mass storage containers. The Tesseract containers might be a better bang for buck but they don't drop often enough. Above level 100 it can take hours (ok, maybe more like 15 minutes that I'd rather be playing) to collect and sell all your minerals except for the Kurenite. Buildings are costing me 50 Kurenite a pop so I try to hold onto it. I need to clear my minerals twice daily so it takes a LOT of storage space to do it efficiently and I want to reserve my points for decks, not storage. Sean

I have received 38 alien star charts; granted most of them were garbage. I have however received the following
3x Artifact Terra 3x Research Metallic 3x Artifact Terra 2x Artifact Terra 2x Artifact Terra
It isnt a waste when you are raking in 10k a pop and are a long ways in between your next scan blitz.

a lot of people complained about this artifact where in fact it was a good one. I know sometimes it gives you a planet thats occupied, but I guess no one would complain if it was a planet that was a rare or better artifact...
I believe the artifact was a good one even for its high cost.. imagine being able to scan for a planet without installing 5 expensive scanners.. or Being able to scan for planets after you have delivered your scanning potential to less than 5% at the end of your highest scanning module..
That artifact was good.. its just that people complained about it too much... Its not perfect but it was fair artifact..

That artifact was good.. its just that people complained about it too much... Its not perfect but it was fair artifact.. It wasn't good. It was awesome. I leveled up from 100 to 124 after I changed from Inergon Explorer to Vygoid Exacavator. Had my research and artifact production doing great whilst I didn't needed the extra 20% from the Explorer because all the planets I colonized (although not superb they were still super decent/good) were from Alien Star Charts. Obviously now I have to get back to Explorer. It's not a big problem now because, thank God, my scanner tech level is still rather low so I can safely say I still got 5-6 scan blitz before I get stuck. That's 20 good planets at best. What am I supposed to do after rank 200 ? Do that quest for Star Purgers ? I won't. I'll just nag some of friends from FB to start playing just so they share me some good planets like everyone else. Yeah, that's right. That's what people do. So instead of giving me, or well not taking away, an awesome tool you basically encourage people to "cheat". Kudos.

It was overpowered and thats why its removed if you get 4 or 5 a day you get way too many planets way too fast.

That's 4k+ AP/Hour with a 100% drop chance. Are you even thinking before posting ? I'll go ahead and wild guess not. Looks like the people that enjoy the Alien Star Chart removal are either haters, people with poor comprehending skills (not to say more) or people that would f*#k a person in the ass without having the God damn courtesy of giving them a reach around . I'm not sure which ones are worst but my bet is the later since haters will hate no matter what and the meek will inherit the earth anyways. Oh and then you have Dan's fanbois. I forgot about them.
