A lot of new players get so disappointed of the game cause its so unbalanced in every way, especially with the current pvp system on bt tab.

-1, for the reasons already given. I would like to see the existing server improved a little, may help with lag problems (although I'm told it may be my local connection and machine causing some of those).

+1 from me. I'm all for starting GL over with a level playing field, let's see how everyone fares without a 12 month head start

I'd run a ship on both servers, but I can definitely see it getting out of hand and the old server dying from lack of members or the new one dying from lack of revenue (Old players on old server have proven spending money)

and new people will do the ame thing and spend money and good point the people at the start of thr game did have a head start comperd to all the newer players

Would be more interesting if Dan made a speed server, where you can rank up extremely fast etc and the goal is to become the best on the server and number 1, id say there would be no legions and no base combat, and no NPC, just PvP only, and also the server is reset every 2 weeks or so, and every1 on that server gets reset or becomes empty and you have to join again. That way the server doesn't get boring and everything becomes extremely fast paced.

Would be a good place for those high rankers that get bored with the normal server to go and duel it out.

Unless you want to pay for the new server yourself, I don’t think Dan will set up a new server just for another version of the game to be running in parallel with the current game.

What about those players that have spent countless money on dysons rifts base mods? Then what happens in 12 months when new people start playing... sorry everyone we have to level out again? I would suggest that would kill GL as nobody would spend money again and again.

Ogame did something similar. They brought out periodically new universes with slightly different rulesets. I thought it worked well. So i like this idea. You could also have other servers where pvp is restricted to those online, or level differential is plus or minus 10%, where planet events are tripled, etc etc.

The main problem I find with games that bring out new servers is they bring out too many of them too close together. A new server every 6 months, or every year, would be good I think. Kinda like ladder seasons in diablo.

P.S. Oh, by the way, don't assume that just because you didn't quit after one of your planets was stolen early, others won't. I've seen people quit for that reason, and for lesser reasons - like tired of always logging to a disabled ship.

If it was a totally free server and gp could not be spent then +1, would be good to see how the game is played if nothing could be brought with real money

I don't agree, it seems like that would just be the death of this server, and I don;t want to start playing all over again or play on a server that is devoid of new life.

im kind of dumb founded by the fact that a few people actaully think the guys on top here with years of playing experience arent going to be on top in a new server and the noobs who have no clue what there doing will be #1
