How about making a sort of upgrade for the Stryll Trap Probes, that would allow you to not only see how many traps are active on the target ship, but what kind?

That would make farming your BT even easier than it already is. There's already very little excitement in PvP. Don't take away the little twitchy feeling I get when I see 1 trap active. Is it a KVT or is it a Firewall?

If it's a CTL item that costs a fairly large stack of the probe, sure. Even the most hard core NPC hunters would not be able to spam those to make PvP really visible. But if it's a direct drop etc, then no, it takes too much away from the game.
Thou I won't mind a probe that specifically tells u wehter the target is halced... because those are the type i really hate

-1 to this as to refresh your battle tab you need to 1 hit people traps should not go on first hit meant just the halcyon Exactly his point. If you're just trying to bump someone off the BT for some reason, would you rather have the opportunity to hit whoever he gets replaced with, or end up truced for something like four hours?

Just making sure, u do know that halc truce the TARGET ship and not your own ship, right? So the one hit would both trigger the trap and bump that someone off BT for you, and it won't hurt you in any way. Thou i can see why the "first hit" thing can be bad for soft NAPs, cause it waste their trap(at least to some extend)

HALCYON should go off on the SECOND hit... and traps are unleashed in the reverse order that they were applied in.. so maybe someone(everyone) applies traps in the same order. I'm of the opinion that no one your NAP'd with, should show up on your BT... theres no way to get rid of them.

I'm pretty sure I was one of the first to put forward the idea out Halcs auto-tripping on the second shot. You can bump someone and they don't lose their trap.

yeah, i was thinking some CTL item or a mission drop that would take something like 75 to 150 trap probes each to make, so its not massively over powered and so easily abused.

maybe if it was from a bigger version of the stryll trapper, where it only confirms 1 trap that the enemy has online
