Hey guys, I just thought of an interesting idea. Why is it so hard to change your profession? After all, anybody can change their job easily. Tired of being an excavator? Pay something like 50 energy, and 200,000 credits, and you can change to another profession that your race can offer. Does anybody else like this idea?

You can spend 20 GP(3 dollars) to change both race and proffesion. If your talking about ONLY proffession for 10 GP(or similar) that would be great.

Yes, that's what I meant, just profession, but why GP? It makes sense that it's hard to change your race. If your born a human, your not going to turn into an inergon just cause. On the other hand, I can just quite my job in real life, and get another one some place else. Just make a credit cost, but really, really high so that lower level people can't do it too much, and a time limit. You can't just change profession every two minutes, you have to wait a day or two if you want to change it again. Does it sound better now?

Honestly.... no.
With the different bonuses it would become highly abused, also even with slowly increasing costs it is too much. Eg. A rank 500 with a 5.2B upkeep could pay 200M credits for 20% savings.
5,200,000,000*.2= 1,040,000,000 1,040,000,000 > 200,000,000 Therefore bad idea.
Thats just one off the top of my head.
The energy cost however may make up for this. Why not make it exponentially increasing costs?
Flat rate something like this: 15% Max Energy Capacity + Rank^4 Credit cost, eg:
Rank 1 ??? Energy + 1 Credit Rank 2 ??? Energy + 16 Credits Rank 25 ??? Energy + 390,625 Credits Rank 100 ??? Energy + 100,000,000 Credits Rank 500 ??? Energy + 62,500,000,000 Credits
Now it cant be abused and would be used sparingly.

Hmm. Your right, that makes more sense. An increasing rate, along with an energy tax would make it harder to abuse. That makes it even better! Do people like it better now?

Because there are three of them, it's a waste to use them to just change profesion, and there should be a way to just change profesion.
