I have noticed that if I kill those that are higher ranked I get a "random bonus."

What do these consist of? I cant tell what I am getting (I may be going senile at a young age.)

It's an xp bonus. It shows how much if you hover over it. Good luck trying to get it though. There are very few higher levels on the battle tab, they all have traps and they disappear from the battle tab once you attack them even once... and they are higher level too.

It can also be an artifact/RP in the case of some NPCs

Thanks, I could have sword I saw my artifact list numbers go up a couple of those kills for some reason. Me being in the 80's means lots of higher ups to kill though spoony. Either that or I am just lucky.

For npc's its usually artifacts for kiling the mob

For players, if you kill a player that's a higher level than you you get bonus exp with I believe amounts to 1 exp per 2 levels over you they are.

for me? i get about 4-6 higher ranked players that are no legion and are all novice

but i never attack people in legions yet i just need more traps to ward off legion attackers

But normaly for me it has E.X 10exp + 40 (hover over)BONUS FOR TAKING OUT HIGHER RANKED and i went what? and then 2 battles later

yea i usually pick higher levels to fight that way no one can contest my stats in the future so i generally get the exp bonus all the time.
