Not sure why it says that "Planetary defenses were strong enough to ward off your advance" if the planet's defense IS zero. Can anyone explain how the chance is calculated?

planet attack reduces your chance of invasion as well

Short version since Qcubed hasn't had a chance to streamline it in the wiki...

Your invasion chance is equal to your invasion attack divided by 3 times the sum of the planet defense, planet attack and planet invasion defense structures AFTER the legion bonus. Maxed at 90%.

So... you ended up with a 12% chance. Assuming no invasion defense structures on the planet, 3x the sum would be 774, which leaves you with an invasion attack of about 93?

only thing i am not 100% sure on is if the defense bonus from barrier nexus contribute to the invasion defense as well

No, barrier nexus bonus is not applied to invasion-defense structures (lazuli pylons and such). BUT legion bonus DOES apply to them.

thanks for catching that, remade the darn thing a couple times and forgot the legion bonus somewhere
also removed the barrier nexus effect
