Well said Vekno. I wan homeworlds to! I think it would be you do a mission, 100 energy per round, 50 rounds. It rewards a special Artifact which requires 10 political favour to activate. It designates a planet of your choice into your designated planet your Homeworld. It would be kinda like bases. It would have the same requirements, divided by 50. When you upgrade your planet, you receive 5 points. You can up a planets resources by 1, for 1 point, or up a size for 2 points. Most planet Artifacts can't be used, and the planet is made invincible.

Hell, if Dan would even *mention* or discuss new content with us, that would help a lot. There's so little discussion that it feels like he's neglecting the game. Maybe he's been working really hard on the game's back-end, or on some new awesome update. Maybe he's been sitting around drinking beer. How would we ever know?
If we could just get even an acknowledgment of where the game was going, That would help morale tremendously. If we knew something was coming, we'd be patient for it.
But whatever it is, the game needs new, meaty, legitimate content. Not little patches of single NPC's that have a .00005% chance of spawning. Not randomly spawning stuff that we have to sit on our hands and wait for.
Actual things to *do* that require planning and direct action. Stop being afraid of high level players and create some sustainable content - ther have been plenty of great ideas tossed out - implement some of them while there's still a player base!

Achievements are currently our top priority. The GTC was not yet finished... and we agree that something of more depth was needed sooner - things that give players more to do and provide a wider variety of goals to accomplish. We're working very hard on this release - its a large set of new rewards, titles, ship images, and much more. Nonetheless, its coming along at a very good pace and we are adding more and more every day.   We'll keep everyone updated in the coming days as things continue to progress. Of course, we appreciate all of the great ideas brought forth.

i've been playing for 2 yrs (exactly i think, maybe, give or take a month). i'm only at rank 460+ now, and i can see the future (600 or 800+) running out of things to keep me happy in GL.
yes we need 1k+ content. we also need more content for much lower ranks as well. we also need content to bridge the gap.
so i'll call the mid ranks in this range (600 - 800+ upto 1k) the "gap" ranks
in all, we need a new hand full (4 to 10) for each of these - missions, NPCs, and base situations.. for each range - 1k+, the "gap" ranks, and the lower ranks. aside from the last post by dan.
i suggest that in the area of missions, there be an endless mission, and, one that requires 4k cloak (more or less) one that requires 6k scan (more or less), one that requires 8k attk (more or less), one that requires 10k def (more or less). (modify the "more or less" for each rank stage) and each stat requirement mission "could" be only available for certain or specific races or professions as well as for each rank stage.. and each rank stage missions energy requirements get amplified, with 1k+ being doubly so (because of the massive amounts of rank points and prisoners they are able to allocate/dedicate)
(EDIT) add a mission that has an energy requirement of 5k to see it
area of NPCs, there be 5 to 10 for each rank stage, 1 or 2 for each, bosses, elites, rares, uncommons, commons. for the 1k+, all NPCs are matched to rank, but are even more powerful than the usual scale (again, because of the massive amounts of rank points and prisoners they are able to allocate/dedicate) for the "gap" ranks, half of the NPCs are matched, half are standard. for low ranks, 1/3 are matched.
area of base situations, this can mean a combination or variety of, a handful of arti designs in CT Lab, a few new base abilities, and something added for base debuffing (eg. either in base crate, or drop from NPC or mission)
all of this is just some kind of a baseline. all areas are easily modifiable in any direction, and specific details of missions, NPCs, bases, and arties involved need to be the next part of the equation.

just an idea but what about something a bit past a legion. The legion could occupy it's base and at times be invaded by many NPC's that the members of the legion would have to fight off to keep their legion from being disabled. this could create new badges for new modules. The normal raid of the disabled ships and a new planet could be discovered by the legion as a whole. this planet(s) could have different resources. The resources could be things such as energy, ctp, and exotic matter. A new tier could be introduced under planetary construction to have new modules for this special planet. the planets resources would go directly to the legions base upgrades(or split up depending on the damge the player did to their NPC). 33% of the legion would need to defeat their own npc.

Dan, thank you for your hard work on this game. This idea sounds exciting, and I think will add a competitive element to this game outside of PvP and Rank.

I presume previous disables and raids will not count so not sure how the higher will receive this as content that will keep them busy. Please see this as just a issue that might pop up. I am greatfull something new is coming out and see this post as such.

From looking at the achievements it seems like you just have to do it. Thus you might be able to disable/raid someone who you might not normally get a badge from. Which might mean responding to a legion alert
