Im suggesting that when a planet is alerted, and someone in the legion takes the planet, that there would be a 12 hour protection window just so the people of that particular legion can not take it.

Even if the person leaves the legion, that the people in the legion STILL can not take the planet.

I realize what Im suggesting, the flip side is that if a planet is being fought over with a diffrent legion, then blackballing a legion from trying to take it back in case it gets stolen is not good.

BUt what may help this is: if the person LEAVES the legion, then everyone in the legion that he or she left can not attempt to take it for the 12 hour alert period.

If the person stays in the legion then when its alerted they take it immediatley ( to avoid a lingering open planet and people lying saying they didnt know or something and just take it) but if its getting attacked that the legion can still help get it back if it gets stolen.

Im suggesting this because unfortunately there are scammers and thieves about, and this would help clear up any stealing once traders come in, take the planet, and then leave....

Stick around until the alert expires.

This could backfire pretty easily. Let me explain.

Player X sold a planet to Player Y. X alerts the planet to Y but Player Z then sneaks in from the legion shadows and steals the planet before Y can colonize it. Z then can leave the legion and then has 12 hours to do whatever he/she wants with the planet before needing to worry about it being retaken. This of course means they can leisurely work at getting their hands on a planet flux/ temp flux.

thanks for the input, I do realize that but thats why i said that when a trade is going on, that it would be right away, as soon as the seller alerts, the buyer jumps right on it,,,they are the ones that have the advantage because they can private chat and know exactly when its gona be alerted, so as long as they do it that way, i dont think that would happen. Personally, thats how I do it, I never alert unless im communicating and the seller is ready right there and then

thanks for the input, I understand that but the seller should not have to be inconvenienced because of potential thieves within any legion. Its not fair to them to have to wait that amount of time because of that. we should not have to CATER to thieves,,,rather find solutions that benefit the good trade :)
