 mass storage pod for decks ?

Hi guys, I was thinking when i got a mass storage pod why isnt there one like that for deck space?
i know we have ship bots and rescued prisoners but there only +2 and +3 :( you make it so its atleast 50k ap to receive a mass deck pod :P and even if it only gives +20 decks thats a massive help to every1... also was thinking what about a npc that is a upgrade centre its a rare single person npc that gives +30 decks for a reward allways and is easy to kill but hard to find maybe?

also what about a button on the battle tab that gives you the option to hack every1 on there, but would stop if you hit a quantum firewall trap obviously lol.

or maybe a button to auto kill a npc?

just throwing a few ideas out there!! also give us a option to be able to upgrade our bases so maybe we can see the weapons installed and the hull design so in otherwords alternative base designs dependant on the modules installed ?

Then what happens when you have enough decks for everything? Then you're stuck drawing a completely useless artifact for 50k points, or you end up with a useless npc that gets the remod button every time it shows up. There's a finite limit to the number of decks you need so big -1.

its just a suggestion it isnt set in stone :P every great mind needs a starting point of a idea..... ok then make a mass storage pod for decks and release a new set off research modules to balance it out :P doesnt mean its the end of the game coz u have used all of your deck space....... EVEN BETTER make it like 30 rank points then :/ i dont know just trying to keep the game alive a bit :)

a lot of player have a couple thousand ship bot in their cargo.... a new set of reserach module would do nothing..
unless there is a increase in max useful deck of at least 5000... this isn't even remotely useful
and even then, it will EVENTUALLy become a dead weight.

Just what is "max amount of deck"??
Most ppl don't run around with all module on all the time. For the very starters, ppl probably won't have automosphere decimater on at all times.
And the theoritical max deck changes all the time.

Therefore, even if it's done like this, it would not work, because most ppl would never reach max deck so to speak.

Unless you can device a way to make deck useful indefintely, the extend of this idea can go might be a low lvl mission for those who still need decks and is optional.

Rank points COULD work, but I'd still only expect about 6 for my 20k AP. 12 if you go by MSP's ratio. 10 seems a nice medium. That's 10 decks, or 20 attack or 20 energy... a bit OP...

Im not the biggest ship, and im middle of the road for ranking.. ~350, star destroyer.
and i DO run around with ALL my badge bought modules equipped...
why.. because it shows that i like to do a bit of everything. and i really cant be bothered to do complete overhauls every time i want to do something that requires the modules..
i DO steal planets quite often though... 54/87 planets have been stolen..

heres what i have installed now

A Lot huh? That would be, what, the top 100 players? The top 200 perhaps? Seriously. I think there are at least a few thousand players, so 5-10% isn't a lot, even if there are only 10,000 players. I'd hazard a guess that no one under the rank of 1k has a thousand ship bots sitting around, and if I'm wrong, so be it. I'm 630th rank, with two years in, and noooowhere near maxed on size.

well, "a lot" might not be the best word to use here
However, the case still stands: somebody will be purely negetively affected by all implementations suggested thus far(except the rank point one which tbh I feel it's already strayed from topic) through no fault of their own and not a result of their own abuse in any way or fashion

And therefore the suggestion fails unless there are further modifications which I cannot personally forsee

it reads "most people" and therefore give some counter examples does not refute the point at all thus your post does not provide any valid insight

Some of us down here do still need ship bots and extra decks, so I support this idea. Maybe as an offset to those who are maxed out, a new CT Lab item, or make them worth CTP to scrap

I dont see how this would be very useful in the long run, seeing as eventually, if you keep playing the game, you will reach the max deck size needed to install everything.
Maybe if you find another use for them, like a mission or CT lab ETC.
