i like this idea that the combat rep would be restricted to the last 60 days. that way, even if someone starts as a laughable, in 2 months, they could reach the other end of the spectrum.

of course, those with insane reps might decide to do a little fishing, by staying off the pvp track for a couple of months, and then feed on those who come a knocking.

i agree, tho, that anyone who only uses the combat rep to pick targets, is doing themselves a disservice ;)

How about instead of combat reps there was a comprehensive system to track ship strength, more than just atk + def. Perhaps each module you had installed would have a certain point value associated with it. Guns, hull, defense being worth the most then others being worth less.
