Command Tactics

Tier 1 Recruit training....( edit 50k) rp 3 completions reward ....1% bonus to Atk, then DEF,then Cloak

Tier 2 Basic logistics...... (edit 100k) rp to complete and select one of the following as reward...... 2% more cargo space...... 2% reduced upkeep.

Tier 3 Cadet training..... (edit 325k) rp 3 completions reward 3% bonus to Atk, then DEF, then Cloak

Teri 4 specialized Planet Training...... (Edit 550k) rp reward select one of the following.... (Edit rewards) Improved bonus to invations 3%.... or 5% bonus to planet defences.

Tier 5 Advanced ship tactics...... (Edit1.3M) rp to complete and select one of the following........ 3% bonus to scan, or 4% bonus to cloak

Tier 6 Advanced logistics......(edit 3.6m)rp to complete and select one of the following........ 4% reduced cost to upkeep, or 4% reduced cost to planet invasions.

Tier 7 advanced ship design....... (edit 7M) rp to complete and choice of rewards......... 5% bonus to hull or 5% bonus to shields.

Tier 8 Officer training....... (edit 15M0 rp to complete and choice of reward........... 6% bonus to ship crew of your choice productivity.... ie you choose Engineers you get 6% more energy, tactical officers 6% more atk, helmsmen 6% more def, scientists 2% more RP 2% more to scan and 2%more to cloak.

Tier 9 Advanced officer training..... (Edit 30 m) rp to complete and choice of reward......Choose 2 5%or one 8% bonus to the ability of your choice...... IE atk, def, cloak, scan, invasion.

I like it.

I would say that the research requirements need to be maybe 2-3x higher, perhaps even 4x given that at the end you could have an extra 10% attack, and 6% energy.

I would change either cargo or ship size in tier 4 to something else also not increase ships scan.

Details need some work, needs to be more balanced out for the higher lvls, but i like the general idea.

For the order of rewards in the 3 completion tiers, It should be Cloak, Defense, THEN Attack. If you follow the progression of previous chains, Dan has always put forth the BEST bonus LAST (E.g. Artifact Planet Structures are last to research out of 3)

Also, Tier 4. You need to make the second "Choice" better. Any high rank isn't going to pick 100 more ship size, and lets face it, 2% more cargo, So what!

Also, Someone with a crapload of Dark Caches is going to chew through this in NO TIME AT ALL. I think the research required should be in the millions from Tier 4-5 onwards, With the last tier requiring 10-15M? for completion. (You need to make it something to work towards, like Hyperlogistics, Not something you can do in a day or two.

Overall though, Great Idea! We need new tiers, and we need +18's. (FYI Dan, If the +18's get introduced, can we please get our Trellith Artifacts refunded? Thanks)

I agree with Exterminator here. You do need to up amount of research needed in these. I could be done in a day or two with those rates. :P I could get the first two done in an hour with research to spare. And I have 8 caches saved up. lol But over all I do love the idea of a new tech line and this would be very helpful and fun for the low ranks as well. I do like how you started the first tech off starting more so that way very very new be's can't jump in and start getting the % awards without knowing for sure what the game is about yet. So that will help them as well and hopefully allow them time to find a legion to help guide them in the game.

Now that would be something worth working for. And maybe (Since the starting RP is so high) Have a mission that unlocks around rank 100 that will unlock this tech tree. Or maybe even a mission chain. :D You know, have a story line behind it all.

+1. I like the whole idea, the balance needs work, but over all, It's a good idea. I like the idea of either or choices particularly.

If not refundable, could Mylarai Extractors be made to remove Trellith Expanders? I've no reason to need this, since my only use of TEs has been on my Mission Exotic and Dyson, but some (idiotic) junior players have put them on +6s on crappy planets that I know of.
