Post Protocol for leaving a legion
Are there any rules about this? Does one need to give notice? There is not much communication to start with.....
Also, is there any way to find a specific player who has now dropped off the news feed?

Depends on your activity within the legion.
If a person never uses the comm, and never interacts with the legion, then there is no need...granted most leaderboard legions would probably take notice and have already put that person on the "kick for new spots" list.
But if the person it fairly active and does interact with the legion, then it'd be at least some common courtesy to announce that their leaving. And the amount of time for notice would depend on a variety of variables.
Long answer short, If you feel it to be warranted then by all means do so (:

Unless you have a planet of theirs on your radar so u know which legion they went to and use the diplo comm....

So if you want to track ur members if/when they leave the legion, start sharing planets XD

no notice as such, just the time it takes for your leaders to respond be sure they know your going leaving without warning/explination could make all planets given to you forfiet unless you leave on good terms, so inform the legion, inform the leaders on personal comm, and wait for response, that way if it doesn't work out they should let you back in. common curtesey is key.
