Could we please lower the cost of mass storage pods??
their cost at 20k seems a slight tad excessive espcecially when you consider the cost of tesseract containers (1750)
6 tesseract containers is 10500 arti points, a bit over half of what the MSP costs for the same return.
11 tesseract containers is 19250, still under the cost of 1 MSP
so please - insert title of thread -, or could we just through them out all together??

I would be VERY happy if they add a super-prisoner item that gives 10 crews even if it's 40k AP in cost. Does it give a worse stat/AP than rescued prisoner? yes. But that doesn't make it a bad thing to add, because it bumps a bunch of the less useful stuff off too. So while MSP is still useful, the price is perfectly justified. It's just that the value of cargo eventually diminish and expires making it look bad.

I think there was a good point made though. The equivalent amount of storage in tesseracts is far less than that of an MSP. To use an analogy, if you were to go to a store and they have a sale, then you would expect that buying in bulk is cheaper than buying each one. Imagine opening a sack of potatoes and buying each one individually, because buying the bundle was more expensive. Make sense? Not in the slightest.
Another question should be asked though: Everyone takes the pessimistic route and assumes MSPs are overpriced. But you could similarly argue that Tesseracts are UNDERpriced, and that we are in fact getting a deal with Tesseracts instead of a scam with MSPs. Food for thought.

That's only if the purchase are independent of each other. Remember that you are also paying ~30k in each 100k of production to useless artifacts like oblisk, structures(there will come a point that even CTL cant consume them) etc. w/o MSP it's ~50k useful in 80k with MSP it's 70k useful in 100k but only 60k value. Like I said, I would be overjoyed if they put in a 40k 10 rank pt super-prisoner. the simple stat/AP worth of a single artifacts really doesn't show the full picture

at a certain point (i.e. once you are producing at least 10k artifacts an hour) you begin to wonder if you should collect your artifacts every hour just to keep from getting MSPs.

I'm sorry but that is just the way the game has all ways been. It will not change no matter how many of these posts there are. The high end players of the game have dealt with this for the past two years. And he did try and make them worth more for you with the vaults that give you 1K of each production storage space. Which is a big help once you get your productions up higher. I see no reason for the values to change as it stands now.

to me, the only way to improve MSPs would be to make them add +100 cargo instead of +60.
on the subject of artefact points, one MSP (60 cargo) may cost 20,000 points. but for the same cost you could get 5 rescued prisoners, which is 15 rank points, or +75 cargo in total
