1,000 research points is chump change for a growing number of us. I already make 2646 RP/hour, so what good is it buying 1,000 research points for 15 Galaxy Points?

(I'd be more than happy to trade my research points to receive half of that rate, but we all know that Dan would hate to lose money on such trades.)

On the other hand, what would be an incredibly fair exchange is 10 hours' worth of research for 10 Galaxy Points.

It's for lower levels to get a kick start I think.
And even if he did change the ratio still not worth it for research. Who would buy it? Spend your money on terraformers and quasis instead.

Everyone has their line I suppose. Personally research is the one part of the game I'm actually patient at. The majority of mine is from scientists. But if the ratio was high enough I could see people putting it to good use.

Anyone that spends GP on research just needs to send me their payment information. Obviously their credit is better than their sense.

Honestly, if you need research that badly get some research planets. Last I checked they were pretty common.

True, and while I don't recommend buying research, it does have some appeal. No waiting necessary to finish off your tiers. With enough money, you can research it all from lvl 1. Not to mention you wouldn't have to waste planet slots on research planets if you could supply it from your real life cash.

Still, there are much better things to use gp on, like terraformers to upgrade said gas planet and get more from it for less GP.
