 TM's vs Debuffs

There is a similar post to this one about raising the TM count...

BUT if the developers dont like that idea how about the debuff attack and def artifacts should be used only on NPC's..

This would solve the rasing TM's daily count issue and would balance the game out when it comes to pvping..

Example: Johny scans a nice planet that happends to be owned by Tony and steals it and fluxes it...( the whole game is based on what type of planets members have and which will impact thier gameing experiance)..
Tony says " O man he has a much better ship then me but I have bunch of lower ranks in my legion and I would packed them with debufs and if I dont have enough I will by some more cause everyone sells them cheap" alerts Johny and then noobs do thier thing while he 0 raids and hack him when he is off line.. also leaves a smart remark on his comms...

Johny comes back few hours later and disables all of them but he cant return the favour with the current TM count in place when it comes to 0 raiding and hacking.. and then afcourse this keeps going on for a while..

Whats wrong with this picture...

If there was no attack and def debufs on players this will nvr take place on daily basis...

Not to mention you can't randomly alert off the BT so if a high level is ganged up on by lower lvls, it's either because he earned it, or they are at war; in which case anything goes.


On the off chance that the other guys are just being pricks, that stuff happens. Take your planet and your 100 successful actions and call it a day. You can continue to keep them disabled in return which prevents them from hacking/raiding till you sleep anyway.


I like the idea, so I would still give it a +1, however I don't think this reasoning actually has anything to do with why the limit is where it is. I can't speak for the devs so I could very well be wrong, but in my mind the reason for a low TM count is similar to all these threads that are popping up about BTs full of ships with 0 disables. The devs don't seem to want the available raids/hacks in a BT pool to be 0'ed as well.

Also, are you proposing 1 debuff per ship against a player? Or 1 of each debuff, regardless of who used it? Or 1 of each debuff, by each ship?

Well this does not even have to be planet takeing.. it could be as simple as over a badge war..

I'm proposing the debuffs should be used only on NPC's.. then the TM count would be at 50 daily, which should be plenty in my opinion.

My question about all this, is why would removing debuffs from pvp altogether make 50 any more fitting? You could still be hacked/raided by multiple ships or hit with inner-bypass(es?) and with escalating action counts, 50 would very soon be too few as well.

And imagine if you get into it with one of the big dogs like Mento, artis are there in pvp for that kind of a situation. Maybe make them limited to 1 use per arti, so they can't be stacked anymore? I don't think taking them away completely would end up for the best.

hmm ic ur point... But why would you get in to it with a big dog like Mento in a first place and 1 debuf not gonna do much to him anyways..

All I'm saying is that most ppl that want to use more TM's but are limited cause once you use debuffs on ships that counts as an action towards the daily usage of 50.. So if you cant use debuffs on players.. you will end up with 50 daily actions of TM's which should be plenty for what ever gameing experiance you would choose for the day..

(As for Mento he probably likes this idea :D)

To be honest this game runs on debufs and it should not.. maybe we should call it Galaxy Debuffs Legions.. If there was no debufs on players GP sales would sky rocket cause you will need more energy to win those wars or get those badges..

Idk personally I don't buff myself, or debuff/cm anyone for a badge attempt, so the TMs go straight to that anyway, and I expect retal (Though it usually doesn't happen anyway.)

And to the point about Mento, isn't that kinda the point? Why spend the time/money/energy to get that good, if you can just have artis stacked on you by a lvl 10 and killed while you sleep?

Kinda should be like that. Why work hard when some chump and toss 15+ arts on you. we have a legion system if your made at a big guy swarm him like ants. all so when was the last time you hacked or raided a SMALL amount of stuff from a big guy.

I was using debuffs against a rank 730 who pissed off my legion the other day. I disabled him twice (one time he was online) and another time. Raided him about 5 times and hacked a few. If the debuff restriction occurs i wouldn't have been able to disable him the first time nor hack him. I think the restrictions would make the higher ranked players more bullyish towards to lower ranks because they think they're invincible

But they are.. obviously they are a higher rank then you for a reason..

this would just have the "I'm not playing this game, you can't do a damn thing to the players that have been here longer" effect that has entirely destroyed games.

in gl we don't have rank brackets, nor do we have "newbie" protection for pvping. now you wanna take away the last tiny piece of recourse the lower ranked players have just to suit the pvpers who rack up 50+ offensive actions and thus can't use a TM to rack up even more?

prime example of the 'strong' looking out for their own interests before taking the time to think how it would affect others.

If you're proposing that debuffs should only be usable for npcing, then clearly you're able to handle pvp without debuffing, so what's the problem? if you can handle it, and you're not debuffing, then you won't be affected at all by your suggestion.

Take my word for it higher ranking members dont want to play with u till you use tons of debufs and open ur mouth on thier comms..

I move on and dont want to make a usless point by debufing them to the death so I can get that kill while they are not online and prove to them how weak my ship is compared to thiers..

This is why I proposed this idea... I knew it would not sit right with some members that always need debufs to play the game :D..

Edit: Because of the players that have been here longer than you get to enjoy this game now.. they did not destroy it, they made it better just for you and ur debufs..

I dont see a good reason why there should be a limit

I dont really use them myself because multi-using means you are gonna waste a lot of arti and energy in the disable effort and it's usually not worth the trouble.

But I dont see any reason to deny ppl who wish to do so this ability.

Of all specific senarios listed thus far except the exotica one, the high lvl earned the debuff run and therefore have no ground to complain about anything

Now, I'm a supporter of removing TM limit such that the high lvl can get back at the swarm if he so chooses. But not putting limits on debuff

Hmm and Im the one being lippy?... you should appologize to all the high ranking members of this game..

Yes we do have rank brackets..You will not be able to see 40% of your current rank higher or lower on bt tab.. Why do you need Debuffs?
