i would like to hear some suggestions on this. i only build decks for my last 6 levels now. i have 107 decks and 140 cargo. i plan on only building decks until i reach say 200 decks. any thoughts and thanks for all the replays i have received...since it seems the game developers follow the post closly i just want to thank you very much for a fun well thought out facebook game. i wish it had a bigger following. i think if you can make combat a bigger part of the game, that you will. once again thank you for your hard work

i don't know what everyone else likes to do but cargo hold all your minerals and if you uninstall anything it gets put in there also... i KINDA go by what my mineral production is in a way... since most of your minerals are usually sold it's not a bit deal but heres what i do

Let's say your mineral production is 200 per hour.. then i usually make sure i have about that much cargo space (200)

since minerals only take up .1 per mineral.. that gives you 10 hours time you can pick up all at once... and also since most are sold it gives you space for your uninstalled equipment....

Now saying that... i also try to keep my mineral production not extremely high.. i keep it high enough so i do have extra cash but also so every time i get an extra planet i can colonize i can immediately buy OR conquer it... right now there is NO point in amassing billions of dollars.. if you ARE doing that then your hurting yourself in the long run.. because ALL that extra money your making COULD have been spent on doing research... this games priorities are Research>mining>artifacts... always make sure you are making enough money to support your expansion and building though just not TOO much to use.

AS for the Decks part of it... i don't ratio them to anything.. ask anyone that's high level and you will pretty much ALWAYS hear the same thing.. they wish they would of put more points into decks.. at higher levels DECKS is what you want, need and dream of lol... so just focus on those.. you can get more energy thru energy research.. and your attack and defense right now you can get thru weapon and stuff... but that's JUST as long as you have enough decks...

all i can say is DECKS DECKS DECKS!!!! get em

Yeah I started the game believing that it made as much sense to increase other ship crew members, but the higher levels here told me I was wrong. A dozen levels later I'm starting to see why. Decks really seem to be the only thing worth buying, each level now I put 4 into decks and 1 into either energy or cargo. I'd love to see some sort of balancing, so each rank point had equal value, and I'm sure that this game will evolve to that point - but for now, decks decks decks!

No lie I think I have put only 4 or 5 points in cargo. I have 230 but I have found a ton of tesseract containers so xD

Well i think they are pretty balanced.. i mean decks are the most important so it makes since you only get a 1 to 1 ration per point... cargo is need but not a whole lot so a 1:5 is good.... i do think that the attack/def crewmen needs a change because low level = good... high level = waste of points right now

I don't know if anything is gonna be done about the research crew or not so i can't say much since research is so important on the game....

and i don't know if anything is gonna be done about the energy crew either... but i think maybe an extra maintenance man per point would be ok since decks DO play such a role in high ranks

Cargo is only about convenience, get enough to hold the ship items that you equip/unequip regularly.

There was some speculation that cargo affects the quality of mineral yield, but Dan has verified that isn't true. The only things that affect the quality of minerals received are your rank and the Random Number Generator.

THat was my B, but at higher ranks your going to need quite a bit (or atleast I do) Im currently using 648.7/840.

works 99.9% but what about the scan blitz where all the stuff needs to come off or be sold? need at least enough cargo to equal the # of decks so "most" of the good stuff that you need wont get sold for less than half what its worth. how do you handle this case? i always have to put alot in cargo, or make some hard choices on what to sell off.

well reading some of your guys input i just do things differently.. currently i have a very low cargo level for my level.. but i am an active player... since i can store minerals and artifacts til i want to use them (storage as in until i click harvest) i rely on that and expect to always be here enough to never let it get full.. then i just harvest and sell minerals and repeat until no more stored.. and my minerals are my WORST production right now... but i currently make enough money that if i want to go on a scanning blitz or anything like that i am ok with selling EVERYTHING i need to to scan and then rebuilding it... but i have been putting A LOT into decks and need to research a little higher scanners right now so it does me justice... i just see cargo space as a waste of points... but in the beginning of the game i wasted a lot more points then that into crew and such.. that's why i'm focused on decks atm.

I do admit the artifacts are starting to take up quite a bit of space but as of right now i don't use ALOT of them so when i get alot of something that is common i do tend to scrap it off

At level 94 I have 260 cargo. Cargo is only good for holding some of the artifacts that you want to hold onto and holding items when you want to unequip. I probably will need to unequip and won't be able to at some point and have to scrap some of my stuff but at the moment its fine. I get a lot of minerals too but Just claim it over and over and you'll be fine.

If you have the minerals coming in you dont need as much cargo because you can just rebuild things but that could get dangorous if your not careful.

I'm level 70 with 350 decks and 170 storage.

I find that only taking delivery of 5-600 each time and then selling the cheapest 2 to make room again boosts your chance to get Kurenite. 5 loads = 5 turns on the random generator.

So it takes a few extra minutes to accept my loads, I can spare the time.

I'm not certain where you are getting all of your terraformers. I'm approaching level 100 and have only seen maybe 3 so far. I assume you are spending reall dollars to offset not wanting to spend time? Also the concept of colonizing the highest resource is why I discovered an occupied very rich very tiny mining planet. My lowest producing planet has twice that output and is only very abundant.

I admit that I may be micromanaging but that's part of the fun of this game. If you want to you can optimize your production vs your energy consumption and all sorts of other things. If all you want to do is armor up and attack people and planets you can do that too.

I'm not asking for Dan to rewrite how the data is displayed. I can do that on my end. I just want a source for the raw data if possible. I assume with the right java script I actually could pull all of that data but I'm not that level of programmer geek.

Thanks,
Sean

currently 105 with 900 cargo space, 500 min, 1200 art 1200 research per hour.
id say about 1/2 of my cargo is in artifacts...yea im a pack rat. another 1/4 is unused modules that i rotate in and out

im guessing by this thread that im way over most people, but i do go heavy artifact production. and i am also lazy with cashing out my mineral cache.

so whatever sinks your boat!

EDIT: still have 480 decks or so, so ive not been slacking too much there, heavy artifacts mean more stat boosting artifacts=buff me

I usually go 1:1 cargo to deck ratio (which 1 rank point is 5 cargo, so the ranks are actually 1:5)

At rank 153 I currently have 890 cargo spaces. I have never put any rank points into cargo. It's all from Tesseract Containers and Mass Storage Pod artifacts that I have collected over time from Artifact points. I don't recommend wasting valuable rank points on cargo unless you have something that you really want to keep for some reason but don't want to have it equipped and can't quite fit it into your current cargo space.

Dont waste your points on cargo.. just make sure you have a healthy Artifact/hour rate.. build it up to 20000+ on Rank 76 and above.. you will get Mass Storage which is + 60 cargo Space.. If you dont get the Mass Storage Artifact then you get other cool stuff like Ship Bot, Android Scientist & Helmsmen, rescued prisoners + other junk that you will find usefull ;) Believe me.. Save your points for your deck.. Then Use Cargo Expander artifacts for your cargo Space. :) you will never go wrong with Deck space :)

you must have in the beginning. How did you up you cargo to say level 50? The last cargo i got was 240th. Remic is right i have not used 1 rank point since 240 and have 1670 cargo. you do need to use it early if you want to swap configuration such as between attack/hack. I did 4 deck 1 cargo until my artifact production was enough to stop completely. i got containers before 240 spaces but still like having enough cargo to make my ship more flexible. I never liked just buying and selling modules and i couldnt afford it. now there are more players to help lower ranks with $ so they actually can go with almost no cargo.
