Other than increasing your resources. Will the artifact turn a barren planet into a terra planet?

All it does is increase every resource by +1 (so it adds 25% to the availability)... It doesn't do anything else. http://galaxylegion.com/wiki/index.php/Terraforming_Device

Not really a terraformer then I guess, since a terraformer is supposed to be something that can bring a planet such as a barren, and make it into a terra or gaia...

Drawn from the wrath of Khan wikipedia entry Quote: When Khan escapes from a 15-year exile to exact revenge on Kirk, the crew of the Enterprise must stop him from acquiring a powerful terraforming device named Genesis

Terraform. verb (used with object) to alter the environment of (a celestial body) in order to make capable of supporting terrestrial life forms.
Doesn't mean to make it "terra" just means to alter the environment and resources of a planet to make it more habitable. AKA increasing resources.

The actual definition of the base word terra is more or less a derivative of earth. The act of terraforming itself would be altering the ecosphere of a location or planet to be like of earth - as standard to support human like. Includes topagraphy / ecology / atmosphere / temp. Resources has nothing to do with it, unless this is the farmville thread

It's not crazy to think that, but it is false; the Terraformer does only increase the resources.

It doesn't matter what the actual definition is. The device upgrades each resource by +1; that's it. Don't argue something that everyone knows is false.
