New idea is having a galaxy map, you choose a territory to attack, if a base hasnt already gone for it you take it, however if another legion has gone for it, you battle for it and winner takes the sector.
The idea is to take as many sectors as possible and become the dominant legion on the galaxy map!

So something like each base is given a sector.

Each sector you control adds .1% to base production (or something like that)

In order to control the sector you need to take down the local base. Which then gains a marker on the base itself that it is in X legions controlled space.

Not all sectors have bases, some are open combat zones, in which you must be the first one there or fight and beat another legion for the space.

Past adding some random NPCs or NPC bases. It would not change anything we have now.

I agree, the Dysos and other top ten legions would quickly take all/most of them and they would be the only ones fighting for them, making them practically redundant.

got an Idea for it but this includes the advanced base battle like hanger and that., for every base level you can have two sectors, so a legion with a level 7 base lets say NI can only have 14 sectors unless we get our base to level 8. after all a base can only support such a large area if it gets to big the hanger get's goes into chaos of trying to keep up with ships. okay so in each sector there is a hidden base that the enemy can't simply scan for they have to hunt down npc ships after hunting them down you can recover a computer core from them over time you use the data from the maps to find out were the base in the area is. after that you first must attack the main legion base and yes the legion base and disable the hanger there, sorry no disabling the base just the hanger , after that you can attack the regions outpost and take it over, but it is nearly as strong as a level 6-5(depends on your base level) base, and you have to send over troops to take it over after disabling it. high chance of losing a small amount of tat officers, at most 10(losing ten is rare it you would usually lose one or two) . after taking it over you get a bonus of 1% to base production,a new badge, base crate, and from extra materiels found at the outpost 1k energy ,100ctp, and 10k em to base.

each sector could have a different richness of resources, and each legion is only entitled to a limited number of them.
that way, the top legions will fight over the richest ones while all legions have something to fight over.

perhaps their could be different maps based on base level and legion ranking and stuff like that.

+5% base prodution per sector you control, max sectors you can own is equal to your base level.

you have to choose which sector to guard
all guards must be killed and population must be lowered to take over that sector

there would be limited sectors...maybe 100 in total to fight over.

Ok that's a good idea, except for the hundred part. We would need many more than that for lower legions to even have a chance.

The small legions won't have a chance anyway. For the most part, it's high levels that need this new content, and where will the high ranks be? Yeah.

I dunno, perhaps have like, 100 leaderboard and 200 off-leaderboard sectors of varying richness.
