We have a legion member that colonized a planet meant for someone else. He has no GP so he can't abandon it. He tried sharing the planet and then leaving the legion but once you leave a legion the share is canceled.

Anyone have any ideas how to invade this planet?

There are at least two in possesion of the scan then.

Have the owner swap legions. Then alert it as an invade by the guy that originally alerted it and still has it in his scans.

It use to work by droping out of the legion because we had the same issue and did it that way. But this should work also.

No, only one person scanned it. What happened was PlayerX shared it, PlayerY colonized it before realizing it was meant for PlayerZ.

As I said in my original message, once you leave a legion that cancels the share.

yes but if player x scanned it its still in his scan even if y leaves legion he can reshare the scan and player y has to drop defenses and allow for z to take

the share that y and z originally got will be gone yes, but player x will have it in his scan until fluxed
I still have planets in my scan that I shared to ex legion mates to colonise they now show as enemy planets .

I can't, I already purged it.

I purge my planets as soon as an ally takes them so that I don't have them clogging up my scan percentage and they don't have to worry about whether that person showing up in the scan probe is me or an enemy.

I keep them on my list. It's part of the whole patronage thing. You leave my legion(s), I take it back. I consider most enemy planets "money in the bank" as well. I just share them when that group starts giving us crap. A lot of people use mass-surface ice melters and toxic purifiers on these planets. There are plenty of planets to purge at the bottom of the list.

I think the only way around your problem if you purged it is to get the job done while the share is still active or have someone use 5 gp.

I keep my enemy planets, The problem is I have scanned more than 1000 planets, I can't keep them all.

I have used more than 450 star chart purgers and still have a 9% scan success ratio.

yeah if you purged it your screwed. Obviously it's just a mistake, but if he has an equivelent planet he can alwasy share that one to the person who it was meant for.

actually i think that if the person who wants it just sit on that planet for a while and it should automatically go into his database then have that player leave and then try and get at it.

In response to Kaos.... If the member shares the planet, and you guard it... when he leaves the legion you will still be guarding and then can take it.

No longer works, Dan probably saw this and changed the code.

Honestly, with all that's going on... we might as well just get the option to "give planet" to a friend. There's plenty of inter-legion planet sharing going on anyway from what I hear, via moving between legions. The question is, is that bad for the game ?
