I'm just wondering what the Max # of scanned planets is,
Actually looking for 2 numbers here.
1. the max MAX with all the special limited buffs.
Also I've been wondering what the duration time is for those limited buffs, since they're always referred to as having a VERY short duration.
2.the max without those buffs.

I think most of them are buffed.

And it is greater than 1005.

I pulled off 1,200 with a scan around 18,900, but I hesitate to call that a max - the protogrid ran out before my scanning went grey.

I'll just say that with a scan of around 14.3k i was able to grey out at 1123 planets scanned.

and my other question.. how long does the 'short' buff last... the wiki says to wait till the end of your run to enable it..

The Protogrid Access Control lasts for just 5 minutes each one

5 mins like sparky said, to add my own opinion on that though, i'd advise using it when your beginning your scan run, rather than at the end where your chance of finding a planet is like one in every 5 or 6 scans.

In other words would you rather start with 400 planets on scan, and with 18k scan find 150 planets(in the first 5 minutes with over 18k scan) then find another 550 with just 14.5k scan. Maxing out at say 1100 planets.

OR

Start your scan at 14.5k scan, grey out at around 1123 planets, activate protogrid and then only scan 20 planets in 5 minutes at 18k scan.
