Ok, now that we have the game clock added...

We need to revisit the Offensive Action Counter/Timer. We all know how irritating it is when you're on a good badge run and want to get a full set (RYB) from someone or when you try to zero out someone that really, really deserves it, only to find out you've used your 50 actions and are locked out from TM use. Personally, I'd like to see that limit raised (significantly) but that's a discussion for another thread. Since we have a limit before getting locked out, it would be of immense value to PvPers to know their count going into a battle or badge session. Also, at the same time, a timer until Halcyon Traps and/or Calming Amplifiers could be used would be great for players who only PvP on occasion and like to keep pacification artifacts in use when they aren't actively PvPing. Since both of these are dependent on PvP, I think the logical place for them is in the lower header of the Battle Tab, above the PvP targets. If a full time display isn't feasible, perhaps a circle-P and abacus in the theme of the new clock would be better. Clicking on them opens the actual display shown in the attached pic.

Ooh we have a clock...never even noticed lol. Nice update Dan!

Anyways, this is a great idea, Darth. Being able to see your actions and timers all from the combat page would be useful and would reduce the number of clicks needed, although it would increase server load since more info is being put on a single page.

+1 from me, but it would be interesting to see Dan's response, even if he disagrees.

I don't see that it would have a major affect on server load. That information is already there, it just needs displayed. Every time you do something that polls the server that information would be updated at the same time and those two pieces of information can't possibly be that much of a data load.

My guess is that is not about the information but the space for it to display.

I don't think I've ever hit the action counter, or hit passive without actually not being able to log in for 24 hrs, but someday I'll probably want to know both so +1

I hit my action limit everyday and this needs to happen. We've wanted this since the TM restrictions came out.
It's really irritating trying to figure out when I can use TM's again .. playing the guessing game but Darth is right that it shouldn't be difficult to do since the information is there but personally I'd like to see a HUD ( Heads up Display ).

My hands hurt so bad now from hitting bases and killing NPC's and it would be nice to click on an enemy whether it be a fake or real one to click and kill instead of click attack button then click into the artifact section then click out then click the attack button again then click into the artifact section again to null the KV then click out and click attack again when ...............
It would be so nice to see an enemy and click and attack and see the offensive artifacts to click on the right side of the enemies ship screen.

1) Attack and offensive artifacts = EMP's , Disarming Bombs , Containment Missile , positron clouders , quantum flares , attack buffs etc ...
2) Defensive artifacts = Containment cage , Nanite swarms , repair nanodrones, shield amps, shield restorers, Krionus virus and halcyon traps etc ...

The defensive artifacts could be on the left side of the attack screen or beside the attack ones.

Either one would be nice just as long as they all are close together so we don't have to move our hands and wrists too much and too far. Just a slight movement to click attack , emp's, nulls etc .. so our hands and wrists get a break for once.

After the target is eliminated on an NPC it disappears instead of clicking out showing the reward on the HUD so we don't have to keep " Clicking " out of everything.
My wrists and hands hurt a lot after an hour of clicking or more. It's also one of the reasons some Veterans of the game either stopped or slowed down a lot because of the pain " literally ".

+1 on Darth's idea

I like Darth's ideas. Another thing on PVP: Someone with 0 actions can arty bomb you right now, but you can't even attack them back. If someone is able to use arties on you, you should be able to hit them back in response.

If it's too much of a server load , can't he get a better server ?
Sometimes the lag is overwhelming now as it is.

I think an action counter would fit better near the Galactic Clock, because usually when I'm most worried my action is when I'm 0ing people, which I do from the news feed, so It'd be nice to have access to the action count on both the news and the battle tabs.

The top box is already too crowded. Wouldn't work there, it took a logo change to make room for just the galaxy clock.

People... Given the current structure of PvP, TMs, and passivity, we really NEED something like this. Please support it.

@Dan... The initial public opinion is that this would be a useful tool for a great many people. Can you at least comment to the feasibility of something like this? What can we do to improve it?

Servers are expensive as they are, and unless you want to dish out thousands of dollars, I doubt he will.

And anyway, a small clock and offensive actions area wouldn't create much of a load. It's not creating new data, it's just displaying the data that is already there to the user. The server keeps track of the time left for Halcs and offensive actions count, it just doesn't display them. It has to keep track of them because then when you try to use a Halc or TM, it has to decide whether you can or cannot.

All Dan has to do is to create a display for the two pieces of data, which shouldn't be too difficult.

perhaps the passivity 'timer' could just have the time that passivity ends ? that way it's a fixed value being displayed, and doesn't require the addition of yet another countdown clock (which would be more intensive).

the action logger is MUCH more dynamic and without knowing how it is coded ...

My most recent addition to this, sometimes stat farmers need zeroings, how can I do that if I need to get through 80+ actions?
