What should the next saga be? Should it have a new race, one that doesn't have it's own saga, or something else? Speculations, theories, requests? Feel free to put it up. Personally I want a new race, or the Prejor to show up again, although the Genetarr would be cool to see. What do other peoples think?

i think he should add one of the starwars races to the next saga like yuuzhan vhong or kaminoan or wookie

Yes. Although Galaxy Legion does in my mind win a lot of creativity awards. Although, it could tell the story about a race of cloners, or some war against a race similar to the yuzhgan vong. Or something we are not expecting....

We could, but a Galaxy Legion version of some species would be pretty awesome. I would like to see a return of the Prejor, Glaviz, or some new interdimensional race. I would also like to see some cool new weapons for mission rewards. I like modules much better than planetary structures, so yeah. Any other wants?

+1 to new weapons
+1 to mission modules instead of artifacts or planetary structures

Although, there are a ton of weapons...maybe some reactors, but I want some greater attack power so yeah, new guns. Maybe we should use Zophaph's (Spelling?) idea for the interdimensional aliens saga.

interdimensional merchants, and you can pick ONE new reactor, weapon, defence, shield, hull, or cloak. They would have to be pretty balanced, but that would offer some pretty hard choices.

That sounds ever so slightly evil. You would have to get two or three merchants though to make it a little more fair.

No there's too many weapons already. There are however very few Npc defense drops. I'd like to see some more bosses drop some defense drops that you can use along with the dark megathrusters.

You're right, there are only 2 kinds of defense, dark (2) and Silthion.

Now that you have me interested (number in parenthesis are number of options):
Hull: Silthion (1) and Crimson (2)
Weapons: Crimson (4), Lazuli (1), Drannik (1), Bane (1)
Reactors: Drannik (1), Rogue Science League (1)
Relays: Silthion (1)
Sensors: Sha'din (2), Stryll (2)

It's spelled Zophah, and pronounced "zo-fa"

And There are a few modules in there that give defense: 2 Quicksilver Hyperdrives, 3 Void Engines, and (my favorite) a Executioner Command Bridge!

Yes, perhaps weapons are a little numerous, although most of them you have to get from BA NPCs that don't give them up all too nicely. It would be nice to get a few more the same way as the psionic amplifier. Although, some more reactors would be lovely, as well as relays, but I doubt more relays would be added in because then some players would have something like 10 seconds per energy point. Some defences would be nice. Or why don't we add some modules that have effects never before seen in the game...

like the medical bay suggested in some other post that would cut down on crew member death chance? or maybe some shield charge generators? or even some new kind of module that reduces upkeep, or colonization cost/invasion cost

Maybe a module that slowly regenerates armor. Maybe a module that increases research, NPC slots, and maybe some thing else cool.

I really like the idea of a ship module that produces a new effect, like slowly healing hull or staving off crew deaths.

If a new weapon is to be introduced I think it'd be very interesting to have variants of the same weapon. For example, the new gun could have a limit of 2 per ship but have some versions that offer higher attack rating when you're attacked and others that give a boost when you're the attacker. There could also be guns that give a boost when attacking other players and a variant that's more effective against NPCs.

Another cool gun could be one that's attack power is based on another ship stat, like number of crew, scan power or whatever. Again, you could have variations on the same gun so that people could pick the one that's most effective. We could see science officer enhanced ray guns squaring off against tactical officer guided big berthas, things like that.

It would be. Maybe Dan will add some of these things...he could do one of these ideas for the Scruuge. He says they are going to be here for Christmas...but that's all he said.
