Whilst good general advice, telling a rank 20 with thetacrons to research weapons would be stupid, right? So I don't like general advice. It can backfire horribly.

just told him what he has to do and more hull is always good

Up to a point. Researching hull for me would kind of be semi-redundant, weapons however, I'm behind on. (I was supposed to upgrade 37 ranks ago. >.<)

My point is that advice needs to reflect the person. If it doesn't, it's useless advice. Why not tell him to focus on watching TV static?

Right lets stop messing around talking about reps.

How many DECKS do you have, what are your STATS and what have your RESEARCHED?

There are some people here that can give you some very good advice if you show us what I told you above.

Ok, here's the deal. If you're worried about combat rep, you shouldn't be. It's meaningless. It gives no indication of how good your ship is, or how skilled you are in PvP. I'm usually the first to discourage people from focusing on it. But, if you must you must. If you want to get out of the Laughable ditch, just go disable people. High rank, low rank, Insane, Laughable, BT, news feed, alerts, planet guards... Doesn't matter. Just kill them. Use all of the tools at your disposal too. CMs, EMPs, Dbombs, Spy Probes... If someone whines about getting arti'd, kill them again. If even 1 person in 3 disables you back, that's still a +2 kill:death rate. If they alert you, even better. Stay down for a bit and do missions or save your energy. Sacrifice a little of your resources by allowing them the raids/hacks. Then go kill them all. Be a bully. Be a punk. If they're on your news feed from an attack or alert, zero them. Don't waste energy leaving "badge" comms. Just kill everyone you can and let them worry about figuring out what your issue is. There's a saying that the best defense is a good offense. Be offensive, people will learn to leave you alone.

Don't listen to all of what darth said there lol he is one of those ones who would zero you for a failed hack so his advice might be a trap.

Also don't get it in your mindset that being highly aggressive always pays off in the game there are many players who use halcs 24/7 in order to avoid the overly aggressive players the more you hit the same targets over and over the more they will likely turtle up under calming amps and halcs.

best advice youll get for hitting the 'right' people. hit anyone whos actions are ABOVE the normal 3/5/5, if anyone of those is +1, then they CANT be running a halc or calming amp. and DO follow darths advice, NEO clearly doesnt understand that killing more people in one day will result in your rep growing MASSIVELY faster. as opposed to ONLY hitting 2 or 3 a day. the fact of the matter is this, always assume one person is always going to hit you back, out of the pool of people you disabled. now if you disable 10 people, only ONE of them is going to disable you whilst your offline, the other people might get some free raids, but oh well.
so you get an overall increase of +9 for kill/death rate.
Now if you go easier and only kill 2 or 3 people a day, suddenly your rate of increase will only be +1 or +2, assuming the same probability that one person is always going to hit you back.
Personally, I prefer to do 30-50 kills a day when im doing PvP... My productions can take the hit of 30+raids with no detraction to my income over 9 hours.

Or, rather than doing actions that will likely get him alerted (arti spamming, possibly multihitting, etc), he could simply target players weaker than himself. There are plenty of them out there, including players running no hull or that are so bad anyone even trying to PvP could disable them.

At a higher rank you might need to hit people with artis to disable them if your ship is bad, but down here there are plenty of people who won't retaliate period. Going around spamming people with artifacts, farming planet guards, and attacking players with ships that are better than yours will generally get you alerted or disabled (in the case of a person with a better ship, who you would likely have to hit with artis anyway). You spam me with artis, and I will disable you, even if I have to check your ship link every 30 minutes for the next 2 days to find a point where your ship is repaired.

Yeah, killing 30 people at once would work if you got disabled only a few times in return...but at his rank I severely doubt he has the energy to kill so much as 5 random players at once. Instead he can wait and find those 2-5 shot players who don't care and won't hit him back.

Sorry I just have to say this first, you lucky git getting 2 vortal blasters already! I go through tons and get nothing.

Work on getting your hull up to 5 platings on deep core. Only save up for your dominion mark III's. Also I would get rid of the jammer. After that get some more defence research mods and get to at least quantum overlay III.
